This debate between Maureen Dowd, Camille Paglia and very feminist woman who’s name I don’t remember said in opening monologue in a conference on whether men are necessary at all.

It is well known and parts have been discussed here.

I want to discuss the opening remark of the ultra-feminist.

In it she says that not only does she think that feminism and taking care of men are necessary but that she is not going to “let men off” from their responsiblities.

She doesn’t know it yet but she’s saying that going your own way is such a superior position that she, as a feminist, will not allow men to just “go their own way.

Here’s the except from the ultra-feminist.

Think about it. Do women gain anything from men becoming obsolete? If we are the only ones
triumphing in work and education, and the economy and politics and business, but yet we still
retain our old kingdoms of homemaking and child-raising, do we win? No. Because if that
happens, then we will be doing everything! And I don’t know about you, but I’m quite
knackered. The question is, are men obsolete? And my conclusion to this question is: “No, I
won’t let you be, you f~~~ers! We are going 50/50 in this world, goddammit, or I’ll never have
the chance to watch the Breaking Bad boxset!”

I don’t think that your interpreting her statements correctly, because I don’t think she even understands what she means. She doesn’t even seem to have a clue about how the world works, what equality means, or the concept of action/reaction. It really isn’t worth trying to understand it.

I understand that we don’t want to ignore the nonsense since it could come back to haunt us, but how does her claim, her desire to take half of this imaginary workload even manifest itself in reality? You might be able to force labor, slavery, at low level jobs, but you can’t do that in education, economics, politics, etc as she suggests. You must provide incentive for those career paths, and that incentive must allow for them to spend time and money as they please….which very well means going your way.

Therefore, the only real weapons they have are shame and manipulation, which doesn’t work on anyone who doesn’t give a crap.
