It is no secret that Firearm manufacturers enjoyed 8 years of Obama. Sales were booming. In fact I purchased an AR-15 that I didn’t really want just b/c of O-Stupids ban threats.

As predictable as the sunrise lefties have used another tragedy to push for more control over you. They want to tell you what you need and don’t need. What you should and should not have.

One of my favorites is ‘people don’t deer hunt with assault weapons’.
You know why they don’t? Because hunters know that .223 is to weak of a round to ensure a humane death. Sure you can deer hunt with a .223, you can also deer hunt with a f~~~ing hammer if you are good enough.

The scary black rifle that the leftards are going after is at BEST a varmint round. Think foxes, feral cats, crows and perhaps up to a coyote. Anything larger than a coyote and you risk making the target suffer more than it should, this includes people.

As the debate about gun control heats up, the sale of semi-automatic rifles like the AR-15 are actually increasing.

High-schoolers from Majory Stoneman Douglas and around the country demonstrated, Monday, for stronger gun control laws. “We can prevent some seriously nasty crimes and some seriously indescribable tragedies from occurring, and if somebody doesn’t want to do that at this point, that’s pathetic,” said Emma Gonzales, a Parkland shooting survivor.

Lawmakers are feeling the heat. President Trump told media, Monday, he would consider gun control measures to improve background checks for gun purchases.

Meanwhile, gun stores like Shoot Center in Cape Coral are busy with customers. Owner Aaron Forum said sale of the AR-15, the same weapon used by the Parkland shooter, has increased by as much as 30%. He believes an increase in gun sales is due to a combination of factors:

    1. People are becoming more aware of dangers in their community and want to arm themselves.

    2. Gun legislation may limit purchase of certain weapons.

    Indeed.

Perhaps the only NON F~~~-Wit that wanted Shillary to win was Firearm manufacturers. If that nasty meat-hole was elected sales would have become legend.

It’s true about increasing gun sales. A guy in my office bought his first AR-15 just yesterday because of this s~~~.

"I've been thinking about what it would be like if we got back together."

The US Military does not use the .223 (5.56 NATO) b/c it is effective at killing people.

Here is why the US Military uses the .223 (grunts chime in if I miss any good reasons)

    1. Cost. the .223 costs less than the .30-06.
    2. Weight/Space. A .223 round weighs less and is smaller than a .30-06. Warriors can carry more ammo.
    3. It is an accurate round. It has a fairly high velocity.
    4. If you kill a man, it is done. If you wound a man severely then he eats resources and probably will not return to battle.

The scary black rifle is in fact a battle field comprise.
Wanna reach out and touch someone? There is better.
Wanna get up close and personal? There is better.
Wanna clear a deck with extreme prejudice? There is better.
Wanna have budget ammo that is a jack-of-all-trades and master of none, that costs the other side resources? .223 is pretty good at it.

No such thing as an “AR” anything, that’s a liberal gun grabbing acronym! Assault is something done by one person to another, they want it to apply to the hardware making all gun owners guilty of assault just for owning a firearm.

You can talk to me in fractions like .50, .44 .22 .177 and that makes sense to me.

It’s like calling all cars ASSAULT VEHICLES!

Filter out the insanity and you start to see clearly!

Like I said, I purchased a AR-15 that I really didn’t want or need simply b/c the Feds were on the verge of telling me I could not.

If you are in the States and are allowed, go purchase a firearm even if you do not like them. It is a matter of resistance.

Don’t let the Kaliforniastan jerk-offs dictate your life.

They want to ban anything they can, to get their foot in the door, and start heading down that slippery slope.

    Dont let them!

No doubt. I wish I had a FFL and a warehouse full of them.
When I bought mine, they were scarce and over priced.

One addition to GRUE’s analysis. The .223 as a lighter round allowed soldiers to carry more ammo. And the .223 was designed to “tumble” when it hit the target. Also the .223 has a much flatter trajectory out to about 250 yards as opposed to .308

And the .223 was designed to “tumble” when it hit the target

I could be wrong but I don’t think it ‘tumbled’ the high velocity caused the round to explode when hitting something. Creating shrapnel.

It is why people that hunt vermin like prairie-dogs will use the .223 or something hotter. If you get close the projectile explodes so, much like a shotgun, in some applications you only have to be close.

To my step-dads dying day he believed the the round from a M-16 ‘tumbled’ as it left the muzzle. F~~~ing Army.

Also the .223 has a much flatter trajectory out to about 250 yards as opposed to .308

Yup. Speed Kills. Speed is what makes it accurate.

    Aww s~~~, I quoted myself.

    Heat is also a factor.
There are arounds that could accomplish what the .223 does and better although they are a bit bigger and weigh a little more. They also generate mad heat when compared to the .223.

So, add heat to the list of compromises that the US Military/NATO made when going with the .223.

Don’t get me wrong I am not dissing the .223 (5.56 NATO) it is a fine round. I am merely pointing out that it is not the armageddon round that the media paints it as.
