My bet goes for the Ducati Hypermotard 939, but I’m a rider who’s biased on supermotos and naked bikes. I’d personally prefer the Aprilia Dorsoduro 900 because it’s cheaper(MSRP $11,000), and seems more reliable. I’m also planning to add it as my 3rd bike.

    A proud MGTOW rider.

If you buy from a dealer, you will overpay. Guaranteed. By a lot.

I must say, I vehemently disagree with these comments but rather than attack your personally, I’ll just seek to address the comments themselves. I may have given the wrong impression. I don’t think new motorcycles are pieces of sh1t and I don’t think they cost a lot either.
Dealers are businesses like any other in a market. You want a product, you must pay, there is no free lunch. Your statement that you “guarantee that you will overpay by a lot” is unfounded. Are you a dealer? Do you know the margin? I know you aren’t because no dealer or sales lead would ever make those types of remarks, no matter if he deals boats in Florida or Harley in San Francisco. ………..

Feathers seem a bit ruffled, GP, as a response to someone who was simply trying to provide a fellow rider the benefit of their experience. You know, being nice and helpful. To answer you question I was in the business for many years. Dealers were my clients (I was a product manager) and as part of my job I traveled the country interviewing hundreds dealers, analyzing their operations, finances and providing profitable (for dealers) solutions to their problems. I also bought, fixed and sold bikes as a hobby.

If my experience is useful to anyone on this board, fantastic. If they have a better way, even better. This board is about brotherhood, sharing and helping. Let’s keep it in that spirit, shall we?
    Carry on & ride safe.

Im editing that lenghty reply. You’re not even worth the effort.

Ill just say this to anyone reading here that may actually buy a motorcycle… the advice in this quote below:

If you buy from a dealer, wheel and deal on the total cost, Out The Door…. bid dealers against each other, go back and forth.

DO NOT EVER DO WHAT THAT QUOTE SAID. You’ve been warned. At the very least, a reputable dealer will lose interest in you immediately and start steering the conversation towards you leaving…. letting you walk and being glad you’re gone! At the very worst, you will get your ass kicked, I’m not joking.

I have no bike, for now. I will get one and “open” the Brazilian chapter, if somebody does not open it before me.
