Apple is still swallowing blue pills by the handful. They have started a program for female entrepreneurs where they can come to campus for two weeks and have a bunch of men finish projects for them that they lack the capacity to finish. Sorry, I mean they can come to campus for two weeks and meet with coders to sing campfire songs, eat cookies in safe spaces, and share ideas about how to make apps a reality.

So, to summarize. Men go out and create a world and bust their ass 20 hours a day to be the thought leaders in that area. Women complain because they are being “left out”, although they never put in those 20 hour days. So in order to please the masses, the company does a group hug to the women and finish their work for them so they can be millionaires too. Then the women can double down by writing a book about leaning in or something. The ghost writer is probably a man too, but whatever.

Sorry to take up space here because this story is nothing new: just the current spin for the day in the ongoing war against providing for yourself.

No one does this for men in areas where men are underrepresented. No one feels its even wrong, they look at men as what the f~~~ are you doing here!

Further they rarely offer help to entrepreneurial men/normal companies. Sink or swim pal. Thats how male companies – ie normal business – has been treated throughout history. Not for free, anyway.

Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.

If I was an evil man, I would suggest there be someway to convince some women are whom a few months pregnant to join this student program, with said women being not pregnant enough to others to notice on sight but enough for them to talk about being pregnant with other women. They would talk to the other women about their pregnancy and before you know it almost all the women in the training course has baby rabies and the program collapses in embarrassment.

Though, I would only suggest this if I was an evil man.

Why do they need a camp? Plenty of people have taught themselves programming (in the “good old days”, it’s what you did when you got a shiny, new computer and no software was available to make it do what you wanted – or you couldn’t afford commercial software). A large part of what I do for a living involves writing and maintaining embedded code (i.e. software for devices that may or may not have a direct user interface, and which serve a dedicated purpose). Some of it is C++, some is assembly. I’ve had a few programming classes, but those were more to quickly become familiar with specific languages than to learn fundamentals. It all started with learning BASIC from a book to be able to do anything with my first (8086) PC.
