I have a Maltese that was left at my house by a narcissistic slut.

    He’s MGHOW now. . . .

    Maltese Going His Own Way

LOL!!! I damn near spewed coffee laughing. Thanks man, made my day.

It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion, it is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed, the hands acquire shaking, the shaking becomes a warning; it is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.

The second one was a small mutt (she have a bit of dachshund blood in her, she is looks a lot like one) that my ex have. My shadow, if you catch my drift. Always at my side, always waiting for my orders, always doing what I told her. Never needed to scold her, just whistle and she was there. There was this time that all the other dogs (my ex have 4 mutts) went to the kitchen as my ex was about to feed them. Only my mutt remained behind, looking at me, waiting for me to tell her to go and eat, with that tail waving around like a fan…

    hahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Waited a few seconds (just to test her obedience) then told her “Ok, go join your sisters” and there she went, like a gust of wind…

THAT IS SO SWEET. She really respected you a lot to not follow the crowd and to wait for your OK.

Yep… That little one was really a thing to see.
Got many stories about her. She would be my son’s dog too.
So friendly, so obedient and stuff. She made me went through some of the most funny moments of my life (troubles included, hahahaha).
I have a very acute hearing, and every time she started to bark (whatever the reason) I ONLY LOOKED at her, and she stopped to bark, or I always told her “Ok, go bark in the living room” and there she went.
A real joy in my life.

    hahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahaha

Damn, I love that dog. Miss her so much!

I have only owned boxers and they have been the most fantastic dogs ever. Loyal, very smart, very good with kids. Female boxers have been easier to train, and also, more protective. Unfortunately, boxers are known to get tumors and cancers more often than most other dog breeds. I put my last one down after only 8 years. I’ve buried three close friends but putting my dog down was one of the three worst days of my life.

If you are going to leave your dog home alone for 7+ hours/day, at least hire dog walker to stop by for a mid day visit.

About 3 years ago my 2 yr old daughter had a stuffed animal puppy that was solid fluffy white with light tan spots on its eye and butt. She told me she wanted a real one. I said the go to “we will see” line and didn’t think much of it.

Went out to my place in the country about a week later and right in the driveway (no visible neighbors) was a puppy that looked identical to her stuffed animal. No collar or tags.

Thought it was a shepherd of some kind. But kept it. Found out it was a great pyrenees. She is huge. But it has been the best dog since the German Shepherd I had when I was a kid. Maybe better.

Made me wonder if my daughter was a witch for a while.

I lost my girl a black Labrador 4 months ago. She was 13 years old. I rescued her from a shelter. There is nothing more loyal than a dog. She was there for me for a very tough period in my life. She never cheated. She never verbally abused me. She accepted me for who I am. She never joined Tinder or Ashley Madison. She only manipulated me with her brown eyes.

I miss her, but I don’t plan on getting another. I live alone and keeping up the house, yard, and vehicles consumes so much of my time that I can’t take on any more responsibilities. Maybe, one day I can get another Lab. They are high energy dogs that require human interaction.

I have 2 dogs, both males. Both were adopted and are mixed breeds, with some black Lab in them.

The older one is 11 and is a great dog, slow gentle and very nice, he mostly sleeps all day, or chews his kong toys. Rarely has accidents in the house, and is still pretty healthy for his age.

The younger one is an un-neutered lab mix. He’s still kind of a punk and pees/poops in the house if left unsupervised for too long. We crate him during the day with lots of kong toys stuffed with treets and other stuff to keep him occupied. He is getting neutered in the next month or so which may cut down on the indoor peeing I hope (he might be territorial marking).

Dogs are great, they motivate you to get off your ass every day to get some excercise. While they can be a pain in the ass at times, I think they’re worth it.

Damn! Such a beautiful dog, Colb! That breed will go to my list of “Preferred breeds”… She indeed is HUGE!

And yes, probably your daughter has some magical powers in her, and that power is called a HUGE LUCK, man! Looked EXACTLY like the stuffed dog? Damn!

    hahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahhaha

They said that Shiba Inu breed are loyal as f~~~, and I had a friend who had one, and the dog was ideal to let in the house for 8 or 9 hours alone. But, you should take them to a daily one-hour-long walk, for them to keep “fit” and healthy. Almost never barks, is a very patient breed, and will die to defend you and your kids. BUT, there is only one thing… It is THE DOG who chooses you, not the other way around.

Samurai dog’s, you know? Loyalty to the death, but ONLY if you are honorable enough in their view. You MUST BE the alpha dog to them.

If she does have any magical powers, she definitely got it from her mother’s side.

She is my jogging buddy. Can’t stand to not be in front.

And ya, have takin her camping with the kids and it is unreal how protective she is. At night, she will hang out for a bit then go on her “rounds” and come back, just like a paid security guard. Couldn’t have taught a dog that if I tried.

    I agree with you, brother!

Her mother is the one that was lucky to find a man like you (and your kids to have a father like you).

    hahahahahahhahahaha

Nah, if you have good kids and is raising them the right way, then you have not many things else to worry about, I think.

Anyway, such a nice dog, man. Definately will go to the list.

I Hope I find a dog of that breed in Finland or Sweden.

I got my first dog not to long after I got married (Thank God that’s over with!) We went to a local humane shelter and I was wandering in the dog kennel area.Being that the shelter was located between two major urban/suburban areas it was full of Pits and pit mixes. I was about to leave when I heard this sad woo from the back, so I go investigate. As soon as I rounded the corner I seen this awesome Husky/Malamute mix. I stopped and looked at him and when he saw me he sat down and stared right back. About this time my wife goes, “S~~~! We’re getting a dog.” Without even turning my head I replied back “Yes, we’re getting MY dog.” I had him for about ten years until it was just to much for him to move, so I eased his suffering, but Damn!, I miss my boy. I have two dogs now, German Shepherd/Aussie Cattle dog mixes and they are the center of my world.

I have three dogs, poodles, I bred them myself, One is record small weighing in a about 4 pounds, but with a 50 lb attitude, he’s the youngest a 4 years old, he’s alpha…

His father is the second dog, 6 yo, a real “nice guy” he lets the other dogs eat his food, and doesn’t bite his own flees.

The third dog is 18 years old, and the son of a bitch that could climb up trees and climb down cliffs with her paws on my shoulders! He sleeps mostly all the time, can’t hear, barley sees anything, but still eats a s~~~s just fine, I have to nudge him now and then to see if he’s dead. He lasted all these years because of the rigorous welding glove battles when he use to parallelize my hand with his K9’s right through the thick gloves, he could flatten a tennis ball with his teeth!

I really liked the time when a kid was attempting to be cruel and sadistic to him, he grabbed the kids hand and wouldn’t let go, he held the kid (without breaking skin) for a couple minutes (growling the whole time). I did nothing but watch the show, the kid was crying and learned his lesson about f~~~ing with animals, he had a purple indentations on both sides of his hand… That dog delivered true justice that day…

Leaving two dogs together in the house 9-6pm can’t be THAT bad right? I mean I’d walk them for 1-2 hours every morning around 5-7am, and would take them to a park for 1 hour in the evening. They would also sleep with me/inside the house. How does the rest of America do it since most also have a 9-5 or 9-6 schedule?

My trick has always been when I know I’m going to be gone for a while, I take her out a couple hours before for a walk, bring her back in and she’ll take a drink and chill out, then I’ll take her out for a quick bathroom run right before I leave. Once I bring her in from that she’s got an empty bladder, is usually pretty calm, and probably isn’t going to be draining her water bowl any time soon. Its kind of like when you go to bed for the night…if you hadn’t had a drink for an hour or two and p~~~ right before you call it a night how often do you have to get up to p~~~ in the middle of the night? Its no different for a dog considering they’re probably spending most of the day napping anyhow if you aren’t around.

I would actually love a Rottweiler myself. My female friends and blue-pill male friends keep telling me to get a “small dog because they’re not as destructive.” That’s a load of lies and I know it from previous experience with them. If there’s one thing that annoys me, it’s when women and blue-pill men try to advise against something I want to get for myself. I’ve always liked bigger dogs anyway. They feel more protective and don’t feel like another cat. I have one cat, I don’t need another mammal that small. I don’t care if women are afraid of Rotts. I’m not getting one for them. I’m getting them for myself, because I have a soft spot for that particular breed for some reason.

I think boxers are so cool looking. Stout, clean, noble. My problem is that I read they are so energetic and require a lot of space. Is this true?
I live in a tiny studio in a major downtown area, so that is the problem.

    Key Master,

That pic of the chocalate lab is adorable! Man, I hate to sound like a pansy ass, but I would worry that I would have such strong effections for a dog that when they died it would cause too much harm. Such is life I suppose.

I havent done much research on dogs: is it unhealthy for them to be in a small area ( downtown studio) and spend too much time alone? Ive considered getting one. They truly are a mans best friend. Just havent given it much thought because I didn’t think my lifestyle lent itself to them.

A cute chocalate lab or boxer would change my mind though. Sooo f~~~ing adorable.

The only time I’ve cried in the last 10 years was when I had to put my dog down. The only time I’ll cry in the next 10 is when its time for my current dog to go 🙁 What are you going to do…miss out on 10-15 years of having the best friend ever because you know its going to hurt when they have to go?

Yes. But it hurts less when you accept that “everything is temporary”.

I have a ten year old cavachon dog. He’s absolutely adorable, so kind, sweet, nice, affectionate. What breed you get is dependent on you as a person and where you live. If you live in a bachelor apartment, a Labrador is going to be very unhappy. If you live in Texas, your husky is also going to be very unhappy.

Of course, the nature of being MGTOW means that there’s nothing you “should” or “shouldn’t” do, but, for me, I don’t think a dog would fit my lifestyle. They need to be walked an awful lot. They’re going to be messy. You can’t leave your dog alone from 9-6 without his s~~~ting everywhere. I think a cat is a more MGTOW animal: you don’t bother them, they don’t bother you. They’re more self-sufficient.

A great advice here. Do not miss the opportunity to have the best friend you can have, because everything dies, sooner or later.
All you have to know is that his life is soo short, that you have to dedicate your best and give him the best you can, both in terms of time, health and goods.
But do it. Enjoy, because if you do that, I am sure that your dog will also enjoy it as hell.

They are much like us, men, they love, they hate, they have honor, they have loyalty, they would die for you, they would be the last in the s~~~, just to know that everybody is safe. Do the same for them, and they will follow you to hell, if required.
