I am interested in hearing anything about SA? Anything, females, politics, daily life, etc.

I’m from SA, I left when I was very young but I’ll try answer any questions you have.

I lived there for a 1/4 century and married a SA woman.
The women mirror the country – beautiful to look at, sporty, great fun, good in bed.
But, just like the country, in the women there is a strong undercurrent of violence, instability, entitlement and sloth.
They are little princesses who expect their husbands/partners to take over where Daddy left off – keep throwing money at them to enable cheap domestic labour, expensive sport and gym activities and money-wasting hobby pastimes.
Divorce is easy in SA and as a result girls are schooled almost from birth in thinking that if a man is still standing after a divorce then the woman has failed.
The generation of pioneer-women – women who stand and fight alongside their men – died out a long time ago.
In short, SA women are just like any other Western woman.
    AWALT.

I’m also really interested in how things are in SA.

I know crime is an issue over there but I honestly have no clue about how things really are on the ground over there.

Thinking of spending 6 months or in Cape town for some training.

Heard that the social justice warriors have taken over after the fall of apartheid and are out to get even with the whites.

I’ve heard it’s dangerous to live there if you’re white and that the ones who can have, or are going to emigrate to a safer country.

For some reason, I always thought SA was cool. The land, the frontier, the ocean, something.

    That’s why I ask.

Are there any SA foods? Local dishes? Spices?

It might seem normal to you but I am interested.

    What do you eat? Drink?

    What makes SA different.

I know that it sounds stupid what why is SA, different that South Carolina?

Seriously, please tell me why I should move to SA? What a are the best things about SA?

You should be fine in Cape Town for a visit as long as you don’t go to the rougher areas, don’t look like a tourist and don’t flash any valuables(phone, cameras etc). The crime is worse in Johannesburg.

Heard that the social justice warriors have taken over after the fall of apartheid and are out to get even with the whites.

I don’t know about sjws but after apartheid affirmative action took over and applies to government organisations, employers ordered to comply and employers with 50 or more employees. At 50 employees they must aim to have ~35 blacks, 5 coloured, 5 indian and 5 whites, 25 of them should be women and two should be disabled.

I’ve heard it’s dangerous to live there if you’re white and that the ones who can have, or are going to emigrate to a safer country.

This really just depends on where you live, the whites who can afford it live in gated communities with armed security guards. The private security industry in SA is huge because of this. It can be difficult to leave SA if you aren’t a skilled worker because you have to apply for a visa to enter most countries.

A lot of the dishes probably have some Dutch influence and they do a lot of barbecuing. One of my favorites is boerewors, which is a very long sausage and is very popular over in SA. Another favorite of all South Africans is biltong, which is a form of spiced and dried meat. It’s similar to beef jerky except it isn’t sweet and can be made from pretty much any meat. I don’t know much about what they drink over there but I know that grape fanta is popular. You might be able to find a specialty shop near you that sells South African food, if you can I would highly recommend you try biltong.

As for how it’s different to South Carolina, I’ve never been so I don’t know for sure, but they have 11 official languages including English, Afrikaans(which is almost the same as Dutch) and various other black languages which would depend on where you are.

I have to leave now but I’ll be back later today and I’ll try give you a few more differences

Out of curiosity I have to ask.. is it common to see a white man with a black woman in South Africa? I have also heard about SA being dangerous to white people but I’ve never been there so don’t really know.

Interracial marriages were banned under apartheid, I don’t know how common it is now but from what I’ve read a white man with a black woman might get some looks from people. Whites only make up 10% of the population and they quite often live in gated communities so it’s probably not all that common.
