Any Jeepers? So….I got a new Jeep!

Well, I hate buying at dealerships but my 2002 TJ has 211,000 miles on her and she is ready for retirement. Still looks good and drives ok, but I just had to dump $600 bucks on brakes and replaced brake lines. Getting to be a money pit, so I bit the bullet and got another one. This will be Jeep #9 for me: Never been happy driving anything else! And I have had Mustangs and all kinds of other cars. Got a line on a really nice 2012 JK Sport S at a dealer nearby. Carfax showed 1 owner, no problems of any kind. 60K miles on her and she was super clean. The sticker was $21,999 and I stole her for $17,000. Very very happy with this Jeep! I was hesitant about the JK and it’s 3.6L V6 after years of reliability with the old Straight 6 in previous lines. I test drove her and MAN! She can FLY! I can actually have a conversation at 80mph on the parkway! LOL! Got all the amenities and the Dana 44 rear. It really is a different ride, compared to CJ/YJ/TJ! I have to admit it. It also spent a year in Hawaii: It was a single owner and the previous owner was a chick in the army, according to the sales dude. Super Clean JEEP! LOVE IT! Now…need to flat fender her and get some 35’s under her. Of course the 3.21 gears will have to upgraded to 4.10’s or similar…mild lift, Warn winch, custom front/rear bumpers with tire carrier…oh my God! It’s like having a WOMAN in my life! Only it doesn’t talk back or divorce rape me in court! LOL! J.E.E.P….Just Empty Every Pocket! Gotta love it man! Couldn’t do it if I was tied to some hoe……….#MANOUT! #JEEPIN!

Side note one day I hope to get a Jeep for cruising to the beach. Until I was homeless sleeping in my car I hated the beach yeah I know. Anyways one day forced myself to go. S~~~ the solitude I can’t describe. Really got out of my own head. I try to go when I can.

I hear ya: I have had CJ-5’s, CJ-7’s, 2 YJ’s, 4 TJ’s and my first JK. I am always looking for a decent CJ to rebuild and once I get a house, I will do just that. CJ’s have a very uncivilized ride though bro! It’s a trade off, I know. Maybe I am getting old…but I do love this JK!

My only Jeep was a full size Cherokee. Old school style. 44s front and rear. The rock crawlers kill models like mine to make their TJs rock worthy.
