    I work in an industrial construction enviroment. I have coffee with a safety guy every so often. What questions do you have?

    Jan. I know the company I work for will actually pay for all your training and schooling. If there is an opening in the safety dept. So I would check around with some companies and get some info if they give you the opportunity to advance after an entry level position. It’s a good field to get into. It seems that a lot of companies are tighting down on workplace safety, As they should. I know when I started my job 17 years ago there was 1 safety guy. Now we have at least 15. Good luck. It’s a rough job, as everybody usely considers you an asshole because you’re trying to make them do there job differently. They don’t take into consideration that it’s for their own safety.
