I am looking to get into either welding or hvac.
I meant to get into welding as a career a long time ago but I just ended up doing other things, and now I am also considering hvac as a potential choice.A recent Internet search provided me with a result for some starting wages for first year apprentices for both trades and it looks like hvac makes more money.
Could anyone, BC residents preferably, who works in either trade, tell me what advancement in your job has been like, what the job prospects are like in a city as opposed to a more rural environment.
Any details would be appreciated.
I am in Australia what sort of welding do you have in mind I tig weld ali stainless steel monel duplex ark weld mig plasma I am a sheety but weld anything even stuff for coal industry first year sucks in money and it takes a lot of work but you learn so much ultimately you can start a business later same welders same styles so feel free to ask any questions I am happy to help cheers
The kind of welding I had in mind was TIG and oxy acetalyn since I already have some experience with these, almost 10 years ago though.
I live in Victoria, British Columbia, on the island. I live on the coast in a very metropolitan area.
I’m pretty sure most of the welding jobs would come from the dock yard where the naval ships are.Hvac seems like work would be more plentiful in an urban setting.
