    “Awakened While Married”

I guess that would probably describe me best. After more than 25
years of marriage and being a mangina/simp nice guy, I stumbled across one
of Sandman’s videos and learned about MGTOW. I immediately realized
that I had stumbled into some harsh truth. I then spent the next six
month watching all sorts of MGTOW videos and subsequently dealt with
the red pill rage though I like to think I’ve gotten past that.

I have two boys that I love deeply and a wife that is more of a
roommate/co-parent than anything else. She stopped being a wife a
long time ago. I have spent many years trying to work on our marriage
problems and I even insisted that we both go to marriage counseling.
It of course went exactly like you think it would and the guy is always
the problem. Needless to say counseling didn’t last long.

My story is a lot longer and more complicated than that but since
I’m still “married” I’m trying to ghost as best as I can.
I am just trying to run out the clock as they say.
My oldest boy has a few more years left before he’s out on his own.
I figure if I can keep the Potemkin Village facade up for as
long as I can then I can avoid divorce and child support payments
and the ass raping that is usually handed out by the family courts.

The wife pretty much leaves me alone and I have quit bothering her
about sex and withdrawn into my hobbies as well as picking up new
ones. Lately, the wife has started to notice my Zero F~~~s Given
attitude and doesn’t know what to make of it. I think she can see
that I’ve sort of weighed anchor and shipped out and she’s now seeing
that she might be losing her emotional meal ticket. (We separated
financially years ago but that is a story for another time.) What is
truly amazing is that she has started to change her behavior and now
wants to do nice things for me after many years of neglect. My how
    the world turns.

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and say “Hi”! I’ve been lurking for quite some time and finally got around to upgrading the account.

As for why the moniker “Guy Montag”? Well, when I read the wikipedia entry for Farenheit 451 it seemed fitting somehow.

Guy Montag is the protagonist and fireman who presents the dystopia
through the eyes of a worker loyal to it, a man in conflict about it,
and someone resolved to be free of it.

Welcome Bro I like that last part of your intro. Breaking the blue pill dream is the hardest thing, deep down inside you know I think, but you don’t realize it, I used to beat myself up about things not working at and I kept thinking whats wrong? I did everything I was suppose to do, do this do that nothing ever worked. Then it hits you all at once slowly first then you red pill rage it was crazy but like everything, things change. You’re in the right place grab a beer and share some stories trust me it helps.

I picked my moniker because I felt that I shared a link with Akhilleus story not the fighting/heroic part but the protagonist being undone by his own emotions/hubris and ultimately killed by someone without moral character and honor. (paris stole another man’s wife and his big brother Hector died to protect him then paris kills achilleus)

As for why the moniker โ€œGuy Montagโ€? Well, when I read the wikipedia entry for Farenheit 451 it seemed fitting somehow.

Aloha means family you don't leave family behind. Who will be the next Draconarius for MGTOW? MGTOW = brothers = acceptance = belonging

    Welcome fellow awakened brother.

The grass is greener over this side. Like it really is.

Mgtow is sanity no matter what the situation. All things estrogen considered.

Welcome Guy Montag. It’s always nice to see lurkers come into the light. There are many brothers here who will know your story intimately from experience. I can only sympathize, wish you well, and hand you a beer.

    welcome ๐Ÿ™‚

It is always so weird how the effort kicks in after they notice the ship has started to sail and they switch to “keep the man” mode. Better than laying their like a dead fish anyway ๐Ÿ™‚

    Too little too late perhaps?

welcome friend. as a 27 years old MGTOW and someone who took the pill a bit younger and thankfully unmarried u joined the MGTOW game with hard difficulty.
it’s never too late to go your own way. and at least what u got out of all this is being a father of 2 boys who I wish u one day pass the MGTOW Knowledge into so to save them all the heartache and pain. don’t respond to her being nice to u, shes just trying to trip u back into the abusive cycle. keep doing what u are doing. the more knowledge you acquire here the more arsenal u have to defend yourself against the monster. it’s a sad sad reality u came to realize but we gotta prevail.
