Somewhere in between house and trance lives prog-house, which is where I cut my teeth. That, and the breakbeat style which is really seriously non-prominent these days. Global Underground was a favorite back in the day; Digweed, Sasha, Dave Seaman, BT…that’s the music space where I live. As with all music, today’s stuff is crap and the music was pure before it got popular with the unwashed masses.

I used to HATE all things ‘techno’, then I discovered that it’s the absolute best music to bring on a highway roadtrip. I fell in love with dance music in the car!

William Orbit actually opened the door for me into electronic dance music back in the mid 90s when I was still a techno-hater. He was the first producer whose name I bothered to discover. He also produced the only Madonna album, Ray Of Light, I ever bothered to plunk down money for. Incidentally, there’s a super MGTOW anthem buried within and I wouldn’t dare to share that skank’s face on a MGTOW forum unless I was really serious:

Call it for what you will, DAMN, the Mixing engineer is a GOD! THe first song gets good at the 7 Min mark. I do miss the classics and how they made you feel the first time you listened to them.

It’s amazing but they did not sound like a Digital Keyboard till later on. They sounded very Analogue. In fact, There was a club in NYC that did just that. MAN. I love their mixes. Even cleaning the needles while spinning the Records. Man those were the days. Before all this BS about the Gender war crap. And before it just came to be a place to sell drugs in the clubs. Stupid..

I don’t know how it is for you E.G. But damn. The Imagine they paint with music is beautiful. If Only life was like that.

My latest round of new discoveries this year, had to be this.

It’s amazing how well this just melds with some of the video edits that fans have made. Love them.

All the DJ/producers who spun under the Global Underground banner where masters of the craft, unmatched to this day IMO. I remember the first time it dawned on me that electronic dance music is so much bigger than what you hear in the top-40. The hairs on my forearms still stands up when I hear them.
