Seems to me like a failure of imagination. I can see wanting to get out of a marriage. There are so many better things to do with a young life.

Buy a cheap motorcycle and ride around the world, send her a postcard from exotic places and never return to the states.

Buy an old fiberglass sail boat and sail around the world. Old boats are so cheap.
