Apparently this clown knows nothing of US history. The minutemen who made up the militias at the time of the American Revolution were open to all “men” 16 to 60. Thus a 16 year old could and was armed with the weapon of war of the day. OOOPPPSSS CNN goofs it again. So I guess the founders could envision an 18 year old with a weapon of war because they damn sure armed them with such instruments. I get so tired of constantly calling-out misinformation and just plain stupidity. ITs like a full time job.

Let us recall that in 1773 (Same year as the Boston Tea Party) Capt. Nathan Hale was 18. Hanged as a spy by the British in 1776. The battle of Lexington and Concord was in 1775–when Hale was but 20. So I guess he was armed with a “weapon of war”.
