It bewilders me that people who make $20,000 a year or less decide to have children. I define $20,000 a year as poverty for just one person with the average cost of living: rent, utilities, food, etc. Millions of low income Americans rely on government subsidies to get by because they can’t afford to take care of their children. Married couples with children and dual incomes usually rise above the poverty level more effectively than single parents. If I had an annual income of $20,000, I could survive by getting a roommate, riding the bus, and eating ramen noodles. I would be financially devastated if I got a woman pregnant.

I think the rise in credit card and student loan debt cannot be sustained as long as millions of Americans are making barely enough money to maintain their lifestyles. People with modest/low incomes will either spend less money or find a way to get more money. Sometimes desperate people steal.

It seems to me that a man who is single, with no children, has to make at least $40,000 a year to have a decent life (and build up some savings) in most cities in the USA. I’d have to make $50,000 a year to live in my old neighborhood in Los Angeles and finance the house I used to live in.

Out of 325,000,000 Americans, about 2,000,000 are living the good life beyond the middle class. These people have winter cabins at ski resorts, yachts docked at harbors, private airplanes, mansions, luxury cars, large shares of stocks in corporations, large real estate holdings, etc. They have the best of everything, and they groom their kids to go to prestigious universities by enrolling them in expensive prep schools. They use their money as a tool to maintain their high social status (investments, bribing politicians).

The Americans that are at the bottom of the income pool get through life in various ways: odd jobs, welfare, help from charities, collecting and selling recyclable materials, begging, criminal activities, etc.

I like to imagine all the money used for welfare and prisons being used to send low income Americans to universities and trade schools. If young adults could get into skilled occupations, and PLANNED to have children after they become financially stable, there would be a dramatic decrease in poverty as well as the social ills that correspond with it. Then more tax revenue could be used for other government services and infrastructure.

The System is designed to have 5% of rich, 15% of not so rich, 20% of better-off’s, 40% of strugglers and 20% of poors.
It’s all well thought-out and organized.
Otherwise, who’ll pick up the trash and serve in restaurants and who’ll serve as exemples to keep the other ones working?

There’s no fixing it because it does not want to be fixed. You can either buck the system or f~~~ the system.

The problem with this way of thinking is there aren’t enough jobs for all these “skilled” people. Most people are useless eaters. Always have been, always will be. Most people have absolutely no ambition, no drive, and desire nothing but to be “protected” by Big Brother and entertained.

“Not everyone wants to be free.” – Quote From Unknown Source

Once I heard that, it all made sense. Most people don’t care about freedom. They care about toys and entertainment. Hence why the “app economy” is the way it is. Millions upon millions of idiots paying for micro-transactions in stupid smartphone games and f~~~ing around on Facebook.

As stupid as the average person is, 1/2 of the population is even dumber than that. You’ll do well to remember this.

For a doctor? That is not right. Nurses make more than that in the US.

I think that’s around 48k USD, which I believe is just north of nurse starting salaries. What can be said…socialized healthcare.

You’re at least as brown as Rachel Dolezal, and since the circumstances of your birth don’t really matter except when they do, I think that counts. It’s time to become trans-racial. You’re now a trans-black trans-lesbian. You’re so nonbinary your very existence is oppressing you. Time to demand some reparations.

States Where Welfare Recipients Are Paid More Than Minimum Wage

It doesn’t bewilder me. Once you are on the bottom rung of society having kids may actually lead to an improvement in your standard of living. A welfare career is more lucrative than a low paying job, and a lot of them just pop out a kid every few years until their ovaries dry up. If you pop out your first out before you hit 20 and your last in your early 40s you can pretty much make a 40 year career out of it.

If you are a person with strong work ethic, pride, and a sense of financial responsibility, thinking what would you do if you were making 20k a year doesn’t apply to most people, because most people are lazy, entitled, and just expect “free” s~~~ from the government and don’t grasp their government freebies come out of another person’s paycheck because they’ve never been a contributing member of society.

For those whom believe we are heading for an “Idiocracy” situation. Keep in mind that in that film science had invented idiot proof technology that fed, housed, and clothed the stupid population. That is not the case in real life.

The collapse of civilization is going to clean genepool. Violence is not even needed. People will starve to death from not knowing how to survive.

The most dangerous ones are the ones whom do not realize they are the useless eaters. Those being the paper-pushers that spend all day filling out documents and holding meetings. They produce nothing of substance and live off of those that do produce actual things needed for society to continue to function. These people do not realize there are to many chiefs, when there only needs to be one chief, and none of them are that chief.

They produce nothing of substance and live off of those that do produce actual things needed for society to continue to function. These people do not realize there are to many chiefs, when there only needs to be one chief, and none of them are that chief.

This is the absolute truth. People think that they’re smart and useful to society just because they have a f~~~ing degree and push papers around. In reality, very few people have a job that’s actually USEFUL. The purpose for most jobs is just to give someone a job so they can make money.
That is, most jobs exists to make money and for no other reason.

If we took out all the BULLS~~~ jobs that exist, only about 5% of the population would need to keep working. But the assholes at the top don’t want everyone to know this. If everyone realized this, their paper ponzi scheme would be up. Everyone is screaming about automation taking away jobs. They don’t even realize that you’re supposed to be doing a job in order to serve a purpose. A job shouldn’t exist just because people need a job.

Most modern jobs today remind me of Sisyphus, the figure in Greek mythology that had to roll a boulder up a hill every day only for it to roll back down the hill. He had to repeat this useless action every day for all eternity. Modern jobs serve no purpose except to make money. They serve no purpose and do nothing for society. It’s just so pointless, and most people are too f~~~ing stupid to realize this.

I hope I live to see the day when humans are relived of all labor. Life should be about finding happiness, not flipping burgers or pushing papers. I foresee a world where no one has to work, and the things people do are because they WANT to do them, not because they’re FORCED to do them for this imaginary thing called money. This system is evil, and the only way it will ever be destroyed is through the advancement of technology.
