So, I have been taking the angle that activism is a ton of bull with MRAs, and it is annoying. So I ran into Dean Esmay on there, and this was the exchange:

The problem is that in some countries, a man has more rights married than unmarried, whereas in other countries it’s the opposite. In most cases it’s complex, but there are cases where you will actually be making yourself more vulnerable unmarried. This is true in many cases in the United States. So what you really have to do is evaluate your situation ands et some goals, and the biggest thing you have to decide is ARE YOU GOING TO EVER LIVE WITH A WOMAN OR NOT? Because if you’re going to live with her, that is often more dangerous than marrying her.

+Dean Esmay If I am a single man who lives by myself, and not with a woman, I am not at risk of what you say. Only when you play the common law angle, are you playing with fire. The reality of MRAs/MRM is it offers NOTHING to men who aren’t marrying and having kids. Why would I care about circumcision?
The cold reality is I get much farther looking after my own stuff and bargaining on my own in life, then presuming that I will wait for a bunch of men to come together and do 20th century whinefest tactics to try to get into the news and try to make a difference. The end is you get a pile of mocking AT BEST. MRAs won’t do squat for ANY part of my life, so long as I live, and to presume otherwise is folly. And this cold reality is why MRM is a big and massive waste of time. The nasty reality is this: If a man can’t bargain with a woman to end up getting anything favorable, then no way can he collectively be able to change large number of women.
Another thing, by declaring “married MGTOW”, you end up having to come up with yet another name for men who don’t marry. Of course, the way MRAs work, as I see it, you would want to assume that name also and say it is ok for them to marry.
I stand by this quote by an Eastern Orthodox Christian theologian regarding activism: “The activist tries to save the world and leaves a trail of debris in his wake; the saint saves himself, and in the process rescues the whole world”.

Thanks for making it clear you will ignore legal realities, but you don’t give a s~~~ about any of these issues anyway because you know it all and won’t hear different. [shrug] Don’t come crying to me when you pretty theories about how life and the law work come crashing down around you or someone you care about. +Dean Esmay Hey, I am MGTOW, what do you expect? According to your realm MGTOW are selfish bastards who won’t sacrifice for the greater cause of manhood. I am going my own way, and will only work with that which I can control, and not hold out for the delusions of some collective calvary to rescue my butt. I am too busy now trying to get settled in with a new job and get out of debt. Sorry, there is no MRM support team up where I am to help me find a place, pay my bills or anything. So, it is being a selfish bastard. That IS one of the core points of MGTOW, which is really a major reason why you hate it. You will do all this stuff, and MGTOW get a freed ride on your efforts. So, you do the same thing Matt Forney does and shame about MGTOW to get able to extract stuff from people.
Those I help, when I can, are those I know, not anyone who collectively shares any attributes with me, for the heck of it.
The cold reality is, if it comes down to blowing myself up in a vain activist campaign to try to change the world, or enduring your slurs thrown my way, I will choose the later.

So, is that all they have? Scare tactics (yes there is some reality), and insulting? Dean’s use of language became increasingly more insulting. And you know what? My life goes on. Anyhow, just my take. If you want to do activism you can. And yes, there is plenty in MGTOW to warn about the current legal conditions. But, as I see my life gets better, stuff like the world of Dean gets left behind me. I will look to help more, as time goes on, but now, I need to get out of a hole in my life.
