He got the RRSPs, and she got the East Vancouver house.
But the rapid rise in the worth of his ex-wife’s primary asset led divorced dad Darren Stafford Lamont to ask a B.C. Supreme Court judge to drop his spousal support.
The judge said: No.
“The increase of the value of the house does not change the present day financial circumstances of the wife in the slightest,” Justice Frits Verhoeven wrote in a decision released this week.
“No argument is made that she could or should sell it. It is her residence and that of the two children of the parties. It is the same modest house the parties bought together in 2004. The value is in the land, not the house.”
So yeah, she get the million dollar house, but he still has to pay her alimony and child support, even thought he is now making less money.
Gotta love it.
Lately its just been real hard for me to feel bad for married men. A blind person can see clearly that the system is rigged and any man that wants to walk in that house fire is a fool.
Never lose sight of what brought you here.
I ask one question to everyone on this forum. Why even bother with a divorce in situations like this but instead get permanent residence and a job else where in the world?
A MGTOW is a man who is not a woman's bitch!

A few years ago there were wisps of info concerning an underground railroad of sorts to help men do exactly that.
It provided a setup similar to witness protection wherein a man could say he’s had enough and rather than take his own life, he’d be helped to restart it elsewhere. Most likely something simple, but with a clean break.
It probably still exists, but only after close scrutiny to ensure he was legit."It seems like there's times a body gets struck down so low, there ain't a power on earth that can ever bring him up again. Seems like something inside dies so he don't even want to get up again. But he does."
