human , male , 52 , 6ft 6 , and it just falls apart after that. lol . having said that . on my profile is a better intro than placing something here. I do know that we are Social Beings , but in that, what if you cannot or have trouble with emotional trauma and pain .
I fall into that category . having spent the past 29 years celibate.
Being a believer in Christ and having his spirit dwell within me, has I; believe helped me overcome many trials and tribulations that I always seem to get involved with .
being a Methamphetamine addict and being sober since 5/22/98 , I have done the AA trip and the 12 steps , but just sitting in a room with other drunks and users rehashing glory days and defeats to other users and drunks day after day, and night after night , just did nothing for me, and I have concluded to shut myself off from Society. Yes: I have to interact at times, going to see the DR. Picking up Prescriptions at the pharmacy, Dealing with a health aide. putting up With my constant mood swings . having peripheral neuropathy in legs and feet has become more of an issue as of late.
I have been learning to accept my condition and be more happy with it. lowering my expectations on daily events. taking better care of my body, which lately has become more of an issue.
taking out watching the TELEVISION .
I hope I can be of use to someone else that is in my condition. And hope to correspond to those who need it.

Welcome brother, and thank you for briefly sharing your story…I have been down an addicts road as well brother..Did not go a 12 step route though..More of a 1 step turkey all by myself method…Worked, so I guess whatever helps, whatever it takes, it should be allowed, and okay…Anyways, need anything at all ever just post it up or send one of us a message and we all do our very best to help or at least listen in any way we can…Peace brother…Thank you again for sharing…
