I just watched a review of Forest Gump on youtube, and something occurred to me. Jenny is a terrible person. Forest is the only person who really cares about her best interests and looks out for her. He sticks with her through thick and thing. And yet she basically just uses him, keeps him around as a backup guy, and refuses his advances. She insults him “you don’t know what love is”, and only comes back to him when she needs something. Only when she is sick with AIDS and needs someone to take care of her does she finally agree to marry him. Oh, and she surprises him with a kid. A kid that is supposedly his. But considering how slutty she is, who knows who the kids really belongs too?
Forest Gump is the ultimate Beta orbiter White Knight, he’s forever bailing her out of f~~~ed up situations she’s got herself into whilst chasing Chad Thunderc~~~s.

Bingo! That was the point I was trying to make too!
Well done Sir,
But it is a bigger thing My opinion is that most women want a man to come in and rescue them and fix their mistakes. To be taken care of. That way it isn’t her responsibility any more. They want chivalry etc. They want to be on the pedestal.
Then came feminism and it brainwashed them. It told them to be like men and they chose to emulate the worst characteristics of men. Instead of bringing the feminine to the work place, they became the ball buster. Instead of embracing their sexuality they became hookup sluts. You’re not happy don’t fix yourself it’s your husbands fault, no fault divorce. He didn’t buy you a Lexus, mental cruelty. You have to work a crappy job, blame the patriarchy. You get a degree in english lit and you make less than a petroleum engineer, sexist wage gap. You are fat and bitchy and men don’t want you, peter pan syndrome–man up. You got drunk and had sex with a man and he didn’t give you a ring afterwards, rape.
I believe that women are unhappy these days because they have gone against their biological imperative, evolution if you will.
I believe that feminism hurts women as much as it hurts men, but it ain’t my job to fix them. I don’t hate them, but schadenfreude is fun.

The hilarious part is that somehow at the end of the movie, Jenny has redeemed herself from a lifetime of abusing Forest by s~~~ting out a womb turd. At least, that’s the impression I got at the end, but read on it gets ugly….
A BRUTAL REALIST’S CRITIQUE::
The movie never touches on the point that Jenny only socially felt compatible when she was young due to her dad’s abuse and Forest’s leg issues, making them both outcasts. Once she grew up and realized he was going to stay dumb forever, she rapidly ditched him and became a massive slut with daddy issues. She repeatedly displayed zero respect for herself despite being a sentient human being, and repeatedly scolds Forest for attempting to remove her from her self destructive circumstances. This is all somehow made “right” at the end when she supposedly births his child, keeps a secret from him for years, then dies. At this point Jenny had to know Forest was rich beyond belief and claiming that the kid was his would ensure that in the event of Forest’s death her own offspring would be awarded massive amounts of money and security. To Jenny, Forest was nothing more than a security blanket she had been using and casting off repeatedly since her youth. She accomplished nothing worth mentioning anywhere in her life, and somehow she’s implied to have met Forest’s accomplishments with this kid at the end, setting her on equal moral footing.
Get the f~~~ out of here.
Jenny was an incredibly weak, indecisive, manipulative, demeaning person.
Moral of the story? A white retarded man is more capable than a beautiful white woman.

That is 110% accurate and dead on. I tip my hat to you, good sir.
From one point of view, Jenny pretty much raped Forest. If the genders were reversed, that would be statutory rape due to mental incompetence.
And in the in she tricked into to taking care of her child, which we are not so sure is Forest’s child.
On another matter. Guys. This is a really fun thread to read. I would love to see more critiques on female characters in fiction.
We should put a list together. The problem is not so much as finding such female characters to take apart. There are just so many, I don’t know where to start.
@miketow and Exsliventxs:
Haven´t seen this film in a very long time, and I can not believe I did not realize this. Slow clap for pointing it out so simply and effectively!

I you’re interested in Forrest Gump, let me suggest you read Groom’s novel. Tom Hank’s wimpy, slightly built, soft spoken, genial, retard is not Groom’s Forrest Gump. In fact, when writing the novel Groom envisioned John Goodman playing the role.
The real Forrest Gump is a mathematical idiot savant with stereotypical “retard” strength. He never wore leg braces, in fact he’s a remarkable physical specimen who was 6 1/2 feet tall and weighed 250 lbs in middle school. Forrest can think pretty clearly, it’s speaking, writing, and taking tests that gives him trouble. He plays football for Bear Bryant at Alabama, flunks out after one semester, plays in a folk band, and serves in Vietnam. Forrest also gets selected by NASA for a space mission due to his savant abilities. He’s launched into orbit with a female orangutan which he has sex with. The mission’s re-entry is screwed up, so Forrest ends up in the Amazon living with cannibals for a few years. He has many other adventures in the book which Hollywood ignored out of it’s usual cowardice.
The Jenny character in the novel is nothing like the worthless, conniving, diseased whore found in the movie. She and Forrest first meet in grammar school and have little interaction after that. At Alabama, Forrest finally f~~~s her much to her delight. She doesn’t figure much in the rest of the book, there is no child, and the crowd pleasing “All my problems are because I was abused by Daddy” schtick is absent too.
Hollywood always f~~~s up the story when they turn a novel into a movie, but in this case they basically destroyed the novel.

(Looks at the statement by OldBill… Reads it again… Reads it a third time to make sure he read what he thought he read.)
Oooookay…. As much as I loath hollywood, I am going to have to go with them on this one. Bestiality and cannibalism are not marketable genres for the american audience.
amazing how the red pill vision pulls apart the half truths and lies one sees ..like the movie ” they live ” with ex wrestler Rowdy Roddy Piper ..great fight scene in that movie ,.
They Live should be required viewing.
RIP Hot Rod

That’s true. but I’m not interested in Hollywood’s bottom line.
I found the book to be great fun, despite the bestiality, cannibalism, and other stuff I left out. (How does Forrest working as a professional wrestler grab you?) It’s a wonderfully bizarre and flips the old bildungroman genre on it’s head. While we’re shown Forrest’s coming-of-age story, he experiences none of the intellectual, psychological, or moral growth that genre requires.
Anyway, I find it rather telling that the movie’s Jenny – who is wholly Hollywood’s creation – is utterly monstrous while the novel’s Jenny is realistic.
Although superficially sympathetic, Jenny lives out her worthless life on autopilot careening from disaster to disaster actively resisting Forrest’s attempts to help her on the way to a well deserved death. Of course, Hollywood absolves her of all agency in her wretchedly wasted life by making her a victim of child abuse at the hands of her father. (This despite the fact that women are statistically more likely to abuse children.) Hollywood then goes on to over egg the pudding by having Jenny s~~~ out a son – father unknown – whom the selfless Forrest will then raise. Giving birth is yet another Hollywood imposed, crowd pleasing, pussy pass for Jenny despite the hellish environment she must have inflicted on the child during his formative years.
In many ways and to anyone who cares enough to think about it, the movie is far more disturbing than the novel.

Damn shame Piper died so young, but wrestlers aren’t noted for their lifespans for various reasons I won’t get into.
Ever watch Robot Chicken? The show that uses stop motion animation with various action figures in comedy sketches? Piper and several other wrestlers voiced a great segment called Hogan’s Heroes. The twist was that the “Hogan” in this case was Hulk Hogan and all these other wrestlers are in Stalag 13 with him. As they’re escaping, Hulk tells Piper to take out the sentry using his “quiet ninja” skills. Piper walks up, screams How ya’ doin’, yah f~~~in’ Nazi?”, and proceeds to clothesline, pile drive, and basically dismember the sentry.
Makes me laugh out loud every time.

thanks bill ..i got a buddy who mentioned ” robot chicken ” ..i’ll try to check that out ! .
hahahaha! LMMFAO !
I find the show hit or miss, Hitman. Sometimes I laugh, sometimes I don’t, but the sketches are quick so if one sucks there’s always another one coming up soon.
Here’s a link for the Roddy Piper skit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSvELP-bPVc
