Everything has sugar in it. I’ve been limiting my sugar intake and gotten rid of my processed snacks. I really have no urge to eat them anymore. I cannot get rid of wheat completely, as I need it for digestion, but I’ve certainly lessened it by at least 70%. I’ve knocked out a lot of white flour, but I use those meal companies for dinner (Blue Apron, Plated, etc.). They have white rice and sometimes bread. I’ve switched out sugar in my home made snacks with monk fruit. I’ve added bulletproof coffee to my morning and I really only eat the coffee and some fruit or a smoothie during the day with a decent dinner. Never really hungry anymore. I have more energy losing the stubborn fat around my neck and stomach. Also eliminated Splenda from my sweeteners as well. Only monk fruit.
I really have no idea why sugar and flour are not regulated by the FDA. That stuff is worse than cigs.
Refined sugar is incredibly bad for you.

As you age, this becomes magnified. I had to change my diet entirely to be able to just maintain my weight. I was gaining weight with the same caloric intake I been used to for yrs ! Freaky when your body changes. Sugar…. Gone! (even fructose). Any heavily laden Carbs….. GONE ! You can’t entirely eliminate either but you can reduce it a good 75-80% .
Marry again, Hell NO ! ( Even JESUS was hung on a cross just once)

No doubt. The first week or so w/o as much sugar was a challenge, but it’s nice not to be always hungry. I cannot get rid of grains completely, but it is what it is.

Yeah. One cheat day a week isn’t going to hurt. It may even help as your body can get adapt to a lower calorie level.

Running a 900 daily calorie deficient according to MyFitnessPal. One workout days, its about 1200. It’s because of the morning bullet coffee that doesn’t make me hungry. Lost about 4 lbs last week. Wish I did this years ago. Less junk. More good food. More energy and no crashing. Also, a pretty positive outlook too.
I do feel a little bad that my mother baked a homemade from scratch cake for everyone on Easter and I refused to have a piece. When I swear of sugar, I mean it. I am determined to get and keep my long lost six pack. Though, she was quite upset. Strangely, others at the table tried to convince me to take a small piece. No means no.
If i go below 1200 cal/day I feel weak, so I target 1500 cals/ day. I do meat and vegetables mainly. Last night I had the best home made soup ever! Leftover ham-bone in the slow cooker. I added a water/olive oil mix with the gravy from the ham (there wasn’t much) and put in some fine chopped Kale celery, red pepper and baby carrots. The last hour of slow cooking I put in the broccoli crowns. Added a packet of velveetta w/jalapeno. That melted down and made a fine soup.
Steak salmon, haddock skinless chicken, boneless pork all good.
I am losing slow….. about 1-2 lb per week. My carbs I save for a few beers on the weekend.Good Luck ! Keep on keepin’ on …

Soup usually good. Beer, not so much. Start your day off with bulletproof coffee and you’d be on the road to rippedvile.
My coffee includes:
8 oz of dark roast espresso
1 tablespoon of MCT Oil
1 teaspoon of Gee
1 teaspoon of raw cacao
1/4 teaspoon of pink himalayan salt
1 scoop of unflavored pure/clean protein powder- AuthorPosts
