From the book 48 laws of power

    Law 4

When you are trying to impress people with words the more you say the more common you appear and the less in control.
    ——————————————————-
When you carefully control what you reveal they cannot pierce your intentions or your meaning.
    ——————————————————–
Power cannot accrue to those who squander their treasure of words.
    ——————————————————–
It is even more damaging for a minister to say foolish things than to do them.

If you brothers like this I will continue to post parts of chapters from this as a reminder to those who have read and for those who have not to learn. It helps me remember as well.

Great lesson and reminder. I still work on it frequently.

Reminds me of a quote from The Godfather:
“What’s a matter with you? You gone soft in the head?
Don’t ever tell anybody outside the family what you’re thinking again”.

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.

That is if those listening are paying attention to you. If they are not, saying too little will bring misunderstanding and pain.

Also… and I’m bad at this in type..

Nah your good I enjoy reading your posts as many others do, these are the laws of power it doesn’t have to pertain to everything in life just in the settings were you need it too.

Around my close friends and on this website I say whatever is on my mind.

    Just my outlook.

At some point in life you have to just say I have no f~~~s left to give, I am just going to say what I feel and be true to me. I do understand the viewpoint that saying less is better in business and court, but I am going to agree with Lottery here. In a forum like this or in your everyday life, I am more of the mindset to say what I feel and own it. I think this is called being a man. The world would be a much better place if others had the b~~~~ to do likewise.

I have the highest regard for the lessons in the book 48 Laws of Power, not because I want to be that way myself (I don’t), but because I want to avoid harm from those who are. I wish I had read it before entering high school. It would have been beyond price when I was a corporate drone.

I have the same idea as you do about this book. I think that it is really unnecessary that you have to bring other people down just to get ahead in life because it is my passion to help people in general.

Is it less than necessary or only what’s necessary?

The way I see it, the more you talk, the greater chance you’re going to say something wrong or distract from the point you’re trying to make. When it comes to give them women, it is very difficult to manipulate when you give them few words to twist.. Also got to pick your battles, is it really even worth bringing up in the first place?

And no, I’m not very good at this.

I will say there is a difference between how bunker mode writes and others. I see BM as trying to paint a picture, it’s more art much of the time then just trying to get a point a cross. It has it’s place, but we be absolutely horrible if we all did that.

    Ok. Then do it.

    Great post Lottery-

Thanks. I will have to read 48 laws of power.

In my job I interact with attorneys constantly. One of their favorite expressions is “silence is golden”. True words.

Thanks for inspiring us. Keep posting.

I started reading today and so far it has been a great book. 370 pages of success.

Finally I would like to quote Robert Greene about “equality”:

” Another strategy of the supposed nonplayer is to demand equality in every area of life. Everyone must be treated alike, whatever tiieir status and strength. But if, to avoid die taint of power, you attempt to treat everyone equally and fairly, you will confront the problem diat some people do certain things better than others. Treating everyone equally means ignoring their differences, elevating the less skillful and suppressing those who excel. “

    Good night.

That’s how I’ve dealt with women for a long time. Don’t tell them anything more than you have to. It’s super effective.
