A man films his peaceful contented life living alone in the wilds of Alaska. He builds a cabin without power tools – gathers food – films nature etc. Beautiful and amazing film that contrasts so much with modern day mostly unsustainable urban/city living – where everything is simply trucked into the city from elsewhere. Nature has everthing you need.

This guy was MGTOW. I like the opening words:

“It was a great feeling – free once more to plan and do as I pleased”.

The film appears to be from 1968 thats exactly 50 years ago. He was a carpenter in the US navy and later a diesel mechanic and worked for the Fish and Wildlife Service on the Alaska Peninsula. Moving to the wild was his retirement idea at age 53.
