Anonymous42It so hot and humid where I live that very few men wear will voluntarily wear full suits in the Summer.
It’s so humid down south in C-Pig’s Georgia calcium nitrate liquefies while Magnesium sulfate solidifies! Those farmers must go nuts trying to fertilize! Forget about mixing down there, I have to run heat and AC at the same time to stop the chemicals from adsorbing water and melting or becoming chunky.
this was my last office.I had a good view and Golf shirt with company name and said Captain on it was as formal as it got.

http://hornbeckoffshore.com/fleetThat’s a cool job, I always looked at shipping and flying as similar, both have nothing solid to run on, it’s all about approach, maneuvering, and staying within the margins, you can’t take your eyes off what you’re doing, not even for one second.
My worst boating accident I had was flying into the mast on small Sinfish after the dagger board slammed an underwater log at full clip, I cracked the hull .
Then there was rocky neck Connecticut, but I wasn’t the captain, after almost hitting an underwater boulder the size of a house, he slowed down and I stood on the bow looking out for more underwater nightmares as we turned away from the rocky shore for deeper water.
Rocks have no mercy on any size vessel.
Oh, another guy I know dragged his screw on the bottom of a breachway when he slipped into the bottom of a wave during a nasty storm, the wave behind him flipped him like a pancake end over end! He miraculously survived with only cuts and bruises.

I do too. There is a lot of commonality between being a good pilot and good seaman.
I once got knocked over by a rogue wave about 100 meters off a beach, because I let my guard down. I assumed I was clear of the surf zone. I took it right at the damn beam. It was before I learned how to roll, and this boat can’t roll anyway. I ended up swimming 100 meters back to the beach in Great White infested waters with two Dolphins on either side of me escorting me back to the beach. I knew exactly what that met at the time too. Lesson learned though.

They sure don’t. The unsupported weight distribution is enough to break the keel of even the strongest and biggest ships.
When they bitch I tell them try getting first tracks on Killington 8:00 AM, 37 below ZERO! Then and only then do they have the right bitch about the cold!
One time when me and my family moved over to North Carolina, we needed to get extra mattresses because we only had air mattresses. So we found one on Craigslist and put it under a tarp in the truck because it was getting ready to rain. This was in the winter time as well. And since we didn’t have proper equipment to tie it down, guess what I had to do?
I sat in the back holding the mattress firm for about 10-15 miles through freezing cold rain. I felt like my hand was gonna break off it was so cold. Women have no right to complain about it being “cold” in the office until they experienced something similar.

I’d take hot and humid any day over hot and dry. It’s extremely hot and dry over here in Las Vegas. My skin becomes extremely dry and it feels like I’m getting bit by bugs all the time. Hell, the top of my right big toe looks like it has scales on it. Not to mention, my dick dries out as well. It’s horrible as f~~~ when you have to deal with an itchy dick all day long because no amount of lotion will cure the itch. When I move, I’m making damn sure the place is gonna be high in humidity.

Anonymous3He finally got tired of their s~~~ and had a maintenance man install a FAKE thermostat and had the actual one put behind lock/key.
Brilliant idea !

One of my friends lives in Vegas. He tells me that 115F there is like 92F here. The bad thing about humidity is that your sweat never evaporates rendering it useless as a cooling mechanism. The bad thing about dry heat it that it desiccates you. I live near the coast. I can drive 60 miles inland and notice the air is drier though still humid.
The Gulf Coast all the way up to maybe North Carolina are good humid locations that don’t get really that cold in the Winter even if you live inland. The mountains, which would make you laugh compared to the Western ones, are very beautiful and quite pleasant in the Summer, but it snows there. I have severe snow allergies.
The bad thing about living along the Gulf Coast and Eastern Seaboard are the hurricanes which can have effects hundreds of miles inland. The rural areas of the South are quite different from the urban areas in culture very, very different. The Pacific Northwest coast is another damp area too though you’ve got to be West of the Rockies.

It is. I used to live in Missouri and although it’s nice up there in spring time, it’s hot and sticky up there in the summer time. I’d still take that over what I have to deal with now.

I love the eastern mountains compared to the western ones. They’re just more beautiful overall. As far as snow is concerned, I’ve come to love it over the years. Plus, manginas and most women flock over to areas like LA where it’s warmer all year around. Which is great.
Once I do end up moving, I’ll definitely look into the places you mentioned.
Dry heat is a bitch to deal with. And I hate it when it’s dry and cold as well. Me and humidity get along just fine.
