My employer asked me to fill out a Self-Identify form. It’s optional by federal law but it’s collected by the federal government too see if the company is full of crap.

I’m thinking that if I don’t answer it, then I’ll have a better chance. Since they won’t realize, “Hey, we’re hiring way too many cis-gendered white men. We need to hire more slovely workers to get our balance back,” then I’ll both have a better chance and make it easier on other qualified labor.

Thus I ask if this is wise. Should straight white men refuse to answer these surveys? It’s like saying, “Hey, discriminate against me!”

I usually fill out the self identity form, but I lie – I will check off something that puts me in the “victim” category.

When I first graduated from college, I was having a hard time getting employment because I was a white male. This is not speculation – there were job postings that were right up my alley for my degree, but they were not accepting applications from healthy white males.

For s~~~s and giggles, I applied for one job with the federal government and identified as someone with a disability. They contacted me to write an aptitude test, which I wrote, and the test was challenging – I don’t believe I did very well on it. A couple of weeks later, they called me and offered me a job. No interview. No requirement to prove my disability.

It wasn’t the job I actually applied for, and it wasn’t something that interested me, so I turned the job offer down.

Do what I do and create your own box and tick to confirm you are an ‘oppressed white male’.

Just make sure they don’t know it’s your hand writing or from you if it’s work though.

Check something they can’t refute. I picked “Hispanic/Latino” which I can actually pull off with a straight face. After all, a guy whose great-grandparents are from Spain is by definition Hispanic/Latino.

I don’t think they will work too hard to negate your entry, whatever it is. They need the EEO points. You need a job. Win-win.

A note of caution: Always assume they can trace your questionnaire back to you. Therefore, always give the boy scout answers to all questions, except obvious no-brainers as above. There is no such thing as an anonymous questionnaire. Does it have a bar code in infrared ink? What is that blotch of rectangles in the bottom corner?

Edit: I was a hiring manager at times. I worked closely with them other times. I know whereof I speak.

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?

Oh boo hoo, you don’t know discrimination, you’re just playing victim like anyone else. The fact is, whites have it easier in society. You are never racially profiled by the police/employers, courts gives white men preferential sentences as opposed to colored men, also white men are not being brutally gunned down by white police officers. Most managers, CEO ‘s and politicians are white. The west is white washed and that’s all there is to it.  This is the second post I’ve read of yours that’s blatantly racist. Many of you on here are closet racists and you know who you are.

What I would love to see is a White South African ticking African American. That would put their world in a tail spin!

I remember having to fill out something like that shortly for my institution after I started my teaching position.  Since it was anonymous, rather than play along, I filled in boxes at random.  For all I know, the results indicated that I was a lesbian landwhale granny.  It might have been interesting to see the reaction.

Since Rachel Dolezal revelations came out – now we are officially allowed to fill out that questionnaire whichever way we want. You can always say that this is what you self-identify with

P.S. I am not a racist. I just concur with the opinion that affirmative action is wrong
