Long ago my mom told me that I didn’t need to get married. She thought that women “nowadays” want to be men and she believed that this would be an obstacle to a successful marriage. She said women now want to be independent so they should be and she told me to harvest the fruit without owning the crops.
She is 89 years old now and she said that gender roles were created and refined over thousands of years and their importance could not be underestimated or easily dismissed. She likes to use my sisters’ marriage failures as examples and she places the blame squarely on their shoulders. My former brothers in law are even included in social events she hosts because as she puts it – “they are nice boys, too bad they had bad wives”. LOL
I didn’t realize how prophetic these words would prove to be.

ONCE UPON A TIME there was a man who never found a wife and he lived happily ever after. The End.
Anonymous11My Mom would be 90 if she were still with us. She too told me she understood why I never married though she would have been really happy if I had ever found a real NAWALT unicorn. They got to watch the whole thing fall to pieces from the beginning so they know it well.
A huge part of feminism is trading in/using up all of the goodwill and presumptive faith in femininity created within males by being nurtured by mothers. Most of us probably identify all women, to some degree, with out mothers.
If women didn’t have us from birth, men wouldn’t always rush to the aid of women first, assume women had their best interests at heart, and long for a loving relationship with a female comparable to what we had as children.
Feminists are ravaging that faith and goodwill, by creating a gender of self-centered, entitled women who nobody can stand to be around, trained to drain males of their resources and leave them for dead. Over time, boys are going to be very different as the grow up.
Give your mom my best regards. We need three billion more like her.
