Good Day Gents!
I’m newly signed up, but have followed this site for about six months. I stumbled across MGTOW by way of Sandman on YouTube and thought his videos were spot-on funny (funny ’cause they’re true!).
I’m 40 years old and have never been in such a good position in life as I am now.
As I have aged and gone through many experiences, I have awakened to not only the differences between man and woman, but the motivations of the human ambition both good and bad. I remember a time when I naively thought about being smitten with the love of a beautiful woman, serving my fellow man in the honor of protecting and fighting for our way of life, and the goodness in mens hearts. I have since grown up.
I put my trust in 2 ex-wives, uncle sugar, politicians, and my fellow neighbor…all to be disappointed. Despite a certain cynicism, I choose not to be damaged by the ills of today’s world, but to identify what can harm me and make a well informed decision on how to prosper and safeguard myself. By no means am I perfect. The majority of my wisdom has come from mistakes…and sometimes I’m a slow learner…
I have always been called a man’s man and I revel in that label mostly because I value our ability as men to think, innovate, love, display compassion, laugh heartily at our own expense, and defend with certainty, honor, and verve.
I am fortunate to have exposure to what I deem the finest human beings on the planet. Most of them are from the Special Operations Community in the US military, but that alone doesn’t make them the greatest example of men. They also demonstrate humility, a sense of community, selflessness, and the understanding that anything is possible and you never…ever…give up on a challenge worth embarking. The one last quality my friends have that separates them from most is they, too, relish in man’s ability.
This quality in men is fleeting all across the world (I know; my work is usually overseas). All too often do I see men who are unsure of themselves or conversely with an over-inflated self image.
The exciting thing in what I’m seeing in the MGTOW community is that they seem to own the same mindset as me and my mates. You take pride in strength of decision, seeking truth, and garnering fellowship amongst those who equally earn their position in life. While I have observed and identified a world without values, it doesn’t mean I have to accept it. This community has shown me I’m not alone.
Our leaders are spoiled and fat, women are wildly out of control on a false sense of capability, and our boys are becoming neutered by social engineering and lack of fathers. I am happy to have found this group.
Thank you for taking the time to read my introduction. I hope you will accept me as an added value to your tribe and I look forward to waking others and watching the community grow. – Perseus
