    This is so true.

Some people are inherently negative – but much of it is resentment too. It’s the ‘dog in the Manger’ – the dog can’t eat the straw but won’t let the horse have it.

The crab pot mentality (it’s an old saying), is what lies at the heart of socialism.

    Old joke from the 1970’s.

German worker sees plant owner drive past in new Mercedes: ‘I want one of those. I’ll work harder’.
British worker sees owner drive past in Rolls-Royce : ‘Why should he have that?’ Hides. Scratches car.

This is why so many never get anywhere when they seek help. This is almost how the VA was set up. ALl these great programs. And then they put people in to make sure ONLY SOME people get them.

    Its Nasty.

But they don’t care. They never care.

I learned my lesson a long time ago. I stopped telling people when I was trying to better myself. I quit drinking about a year and a half ago. I told nobody. I’m now in better shape physically, financially, and mentally than I have been in my entire life. A few people have noticed and have asked. I just told them I changed a couple of things and left it at that. I’d be very willing to bet that if I had told them I stopped drinking I would suddenly be invited to all kinds of parties involving alcohol.

I didn’t exactly have to stop drinking. I just chose to. Eventually someone MIGHT figure out I’m sober. I found it’s better to keep people on a need-to-know basis. At this point THEY DON’T NEED TO KNOW.

This has been true throughout my life. I always thought it was great to be alive, but a lot of people differ.
Many times I’ve started to do something rather simple, and other people get really p~~~ed off when I’m doing something with my life.
“Jealous cowards,” as the rap lyric goes.

"Once you’ve taken care of the basics, there’s very little in this world for which your life is worth deferring." -David Hansson. "It’s not when women are mean or nasty that anything is out of the ordinary. It’s when they are NICE to you that you have to be on high alert..." -Jackinov.

    Nice motivational post.

This pairs well with Faust For Science’s “Live your life out of spite”.

Living a great happy life makes the fu.ckers miserable ? GOOD !

My mother revelled in other peoples pain and misfortune (to say that she fed on it is no exaggeration), and was always looking for something nasty.

I found that the best way to irritate her was to say that everything was going well and that there were no problems.

In networking there are about ~65,000 ports.

Imagine not using one of those ports? You just go under the radar.

Do the same in life. 🙂
