Must say I’m rather disappointed at some of the responses to DYD’s post.

The bloke has (somewhat spectacularly) quit his job and is trying to Go His Own Way. A bit of support would probably be appreciated rather than criticism of his ill-advised, but nonetheless harmless, exit from a mind-numbing service job.

I believe it is still celebrated and, yes, very likely much older than 2000 years old. Hard to tell beyond that since, as you say, the druids were wiped out.

I think it is celebrated in New Age druid areas in southern Britain as well, particularly around Stonehenge, which, i’m sure you know, has a lot of alignments to the various equinoxes and solstices.

Cheers man. Dunno what this s~~~ is about with me looking for attention. Thats a bit insulting. It seems to me that guys who are better off than me are still stuck in the 40-60 hour a week jobs and just don’t have the b~~~~ to f~~~ing quit. They could. But it would mean losing all the benefits etc. Some of these guys talk about going off grid into the wilderness but it will never happen.

No Mosquito Coast happening either.

Theres no manual for how to exit a job while under duress but I do the best I can. I could have walked out silently then been had up for eye raping some insecure whacko bitch. Just being a man with a dick is against the law today. Lose lose.

I just don’t f~~~ing understand anything anymore. There’s nothing moral behind anything.
