women not wanting marriage is empowerment but why is it when a man doesn’t want marriage suddenly he’s a “commitmentphobe” or my favorite “can’t handle a strong and independent woman?” Besides I thought a woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle?

A single man is better off financially than a married man. This is obvious. But a single, childless woman is also better off financially than a married woman. Both single men and single women are examples of one person living off the income of one person, them self. Married women, meanwhile are living off an income that also has to support at least one other person.

So it should be obvious than a single, childless woman can be better off financially…

I remember reading a suggestion recently that when a man chooses marriage the woman he asks gets to choose whether or not to accept him. When he chooses against marriage, the woman gets no choice at all.

A fall in the percentage of married women by two thirds in just 50 years tells me that either women are becoming far more picky than they have any right to be or that an ever increasing number of men whether they identify as MGTOW or not are choosing simply to not give women the option and walking away.

Of course it very good if they don’t need a man and can be financially independent. I say this with a positive feeling and no sarcasm. There is nothing wrong with being independent. If a woman can earn and help pay the taxes to support her unemployed ‘sisters’ all over the country, what’s the problem with that? Less burden on men to meet the tax demands.

Mr. Ludophile is right. We should encourage it. Women shoud become independent, work and earn to sustain herself.

Now the question remains; how many women will ‘actually’ choose this path? 20%, 30%, 50%? Even 50% won’t make a good difference.
