Interesting theory.

I feel that the “nice guy” tag is some sort of consolation prize to being ultimately rejected, to soften the blow.
To me it comes across as “I can’t find anything seriously wrong with you, and you would make a suitable partner that would look after me, but I’d rather have Chad”.

Nice guys are alright in my books. They are a bit naive, but we all were at some point in our lives. Nice guys just take a little longer to wake up or get the memo because they expect the goodness of others to be a reflection of theirs, but that means you’d have to take human nature out of the equation, and that’s the last thing you’d want to do.

A lot of these guys were either enlightened at a young age or just had good upbringing so I can’t fault them for being what they are because they have good intentions and generally just keep to themselves and don’t want to harm others or see anyone in such a state or condition.

Nice guys need to understand that the race is just as rigged as the gambling rackets belonging to Tony Soprano.
