I was reading over the forums and the topic diverged into flakey s~~~ women do and how they will almost NEVER apologize to a man even if they know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are wrong. People in general are hard put to admit they are wrong about anything. But women are the absolute worst when it comes to that, which reminded me of an experience I had with a girl a long time ago (before I became a MGHOW) that blew my socks off. I was working a retail job in NYC at the time and this tall good looking blond used to be a semi-regular as she worked down the block. She kind of looked like Daryl Hannah in her prime. We got to talking and it turned out she grew up in the same neighborhood as me and we were both into the same music. We would kind of flirt lightly with each other but nothing to heavy. But it was very clear I was interested in her and she knew it. One day I ran into her at a local deli where we were both getting some lunch and got chatting. I figured this was a good opportunity to ask her out, which I did. Her response to me was so unexpected that it literally left me there with my jaw hanging down. Keep in mind that prior to this our talks had always been very warm and cordial.
Her response to me was to let out an exasperated sigh, followed by ” Look. If you wanna get laid why dont you just go to the Scrap Bar ( a popular NYC bar and meat market at the time) and find some skank!” I was utterly floored , speechless and too shocked to even get mad. I just said “Wow. I just thought it would be nice to go out and get to know each other cause I kinda thought we liked each other. But if thats the way you feel about it then never mind.” I then went to work wondering what the f~~~ just happened. That night as I was closing the store there was a knock at the door. I looked and who was it but her. My first thought was ‘What the f~~~ is she doing here?’ and I looked at her through the glass door like ‘what the f~~~ do you want?’. So I unlocked the door and let her in without saying a word. What happened next equally blew me away and has not happened since. She actually sincerely apologized to me, admitted she was wrong and was a total bitch the way she treated me and asked me if she could make it up to me and buy me a drink. I was still pretty steamed and wasnt going to let her off that easy so I told her “Yes you were a total bitch” and that I would “Think about it”. We never became romantically involved but she did become a pretty decent friend to me after that. Although I have long ago lost touch with her. It was just one of those unicorn moments where a woman actually admits they were wrong and a bitch and apologizes. It makes me think about how much easier life would be between the sexes if women could just take a page from men and just f~~~ing admit they are wrong and apologize. I dont know about the rest of you but that is big for me and would garner HUGE amount of respect for a woman if she could just do that one simple thing. But alas, most of them would quite rather DIE than actually do that.
Oh women can admit that they are wrong and it happened because you passed her s~~~ test when you responded to her comment about the scrap bar and pretty much friendzoned her. She saw social value in that and thus wanted to get back into your good graces.
IGGY: Great story….but she didn’t f~~~ you after all that? oh man…………..
Yeah it probably would have been an opportunity to get laid.
To be honest guys after getting to know her after that whole episode I think she was more asexual than anything else. I dont remember her ever having any boyfriends or girlfriends either for that matter. Which might explain why she was so hostile to begin with. Guys wanting to get with her (of which I would guess there were many) just didnt register with her. She just didnt understand it and thus it became an annoyance to her. Either way I appreciated her apology. Like I said, for a woman. ANY WOMAN! Gay, straight, asexual or whatever, sincere apologies or admissions of fault are far and few between.
Well, it is possible she was involved with Tom Hanks, right?? 😉
Yeah, I swear that I have never had a woman admit to me she was wrong about anything meaningful, must have been something to be there at the moment it actually happened in the 20th century.
