Proud of myself. Despite my relative laziness, I have finally got back into some weights, push ups, stretching etc.

After a couple of weeks of every second day, starting small, building up slightly each time, just doing enough, I am feeling so much better already. I am never going to break any records but I just wanted to say that if any of you guys are struggling to get started with something, health-wise or otherwise, just start.

If a lazy prick like me can start and feel the results, anybody can. I am loving it more each day – no pressure to overdo it, nobody around I am trying to impress, just myself and some quiet determination. I gotta tell ya, it feels great!

Just start, as small or easy as you have to, but you can do it! I am determined to never again stop, and try to apply this attitude to all aspects of my life. Thanks for listening fellas, and to all you fit bastards on here, you are definitely part of my inspiration. THANKS!

Same. If you don’t feel like you can take down a water buffalo, then it’s time to see the doctor.

Thanks max! You’re an inspiration to me after being down four months and recuperating! I’m doing the same thing, a little more and starting earlier each and every day!

Before my illness I was prepping my body for the ski season, I’m hoping by late winter/early spring, I’ll be able to go without having a heart attack!

I miss feeling healthy from being a blob since the end of summer!

    Thanks for the inspiration!

Nice. We often think if we aren’t doing something to our fullest capacity, it’s not worth it. But with exercise this isn’t true.

I swapped workouts sessions for banging out push ups and pull ups here and there. It takes next to no time and is more enjoyable to me than the gym. But each to their own.

Remember, your WORST workout is still at least 10 times better then sitting home on the couch or rolling over in bed.

I love bodyweight workouts too! There’s a great site to help with the progressions and they have an app that works well on a phone: http://www.thenx.com . They have some youtube stuff too. Was able to get my pullup count back up to 20 with their advice. Not bad for a 50+ year old bum like me!
