A Small Victory for Men

I’m a bodyguard for a judge so I sit (actually stand) through a lot of court cases. There was an interesting civil case last Wednesday. The last time these people were in court a fight nearly broke out and uniformed Marshals (I’m in plain clothes although my badge is visible) had to escort all of them out of the courtroom. Here’s the gist of it:

Dumbass falls in love with a hottie I’ll call Dumbette and so  they enter into wedded bliss. The Dumbs find out that money doesn’t grow on trees so they hit up Dumbette’s dear old Mumsy for a handout. They ask her for five large (to all you non-Muricans that’s US $5.000,00), but Mumsy isn’t so dumb and has them sign a promissory note.

They make one payment for $50 (US $50,00) and decide that being wedded isn’t so blissful after all. Nasty divorce ensues-no need to elaborate as we’ve all been through one…or two…or three…). Fast forward and Mumsy wants her cash back. So she sues Dumbass for the balance owed.

In the interim between court appearances and fist fights Dumbass hired a lawyer and they filed a Third Party claim. During the trial Mumsy delivers a pretty good case. All paperwork was in order but then she p~~~es off my judge by telling him the law…that she can sue anyone she bloody well wants to. True enough, but judges don’t like non-lawyers telling them the law. Then she tells the judge that the Third Party action is nothing more than another stalling tactic by the defense. She rests and Dumbass’s lawyer submits his client’s claim.

The judge rules in favor of the plaintiff meaning Dumbass has to cough up the cash. But he continues by telling Mumsy that she was correct…she can sue anyone, but in Louisiana the defendant has a right to file a Third Party claim. It’s a community property state, but that also means it’s a community debt state, and he ruled in favor of Dumbass. Now Mumsy’s little Dumbette has to come up with her half, pay it to Dumbass, and he pays Mumsy along with his half.

Yeah, it was somewhat boring, but it shows that if a fair judge is involved men don’t necessarily get the shaft by default. If MGTOW ever really takes off and ends up in prime time, they could have a huge impact when it comes to electing fair and  equitable judges. There’s a whole other thread on this site concerning MGTOW adherents voting and non-voting. I wouldn’t attempt to talk any of us into voting or staying at home. But this one boring example says a lot about the effectiveness of voting, at least in local elections. If the judge would have been an aged sex-starved pointy-headed c~~~ who hates the world because she was born without a penis, does anyone believe that Dumbass would have gotten a fair shake?
