As my intro, I separated from my wife a couple of years ago, am in my 50s, work a steady, albeit unspectacular job, and enjoy my modest condo. My 401k contribution went from 6% to 30% after separating, I’m able to work out every day, don’t have the constant hassle at home, and am enjoying life much more. There’s no shortage of guy things for me to enjoy after taking care of my now lightened load of responsibilities. Frankly, separating is one of the best things that happened to me. And, for whatever it’s worth, my wife and adult son are probably no less happy than they were before. At least my son is slowly maturing outside of “the nest”. Maybe I’m a bit different than most MIGTOWs, but I don’t hold resentment toward my wife or women in general. She’s not a horrible person and women are what they are (and, although still attracted by them, there’s no way on this planet I’d ever get seriously involved with another one again… why screw up a good thing?), so I don’t say they’re all b____s or c___s. That’s not to say other fellow MIGTOWs are wrong in their perspective; we absolutely need to be supportive of each other in a crazed blue pill society. Thanks for listening! I really enjoy reading the various posts on this site.
We just don't realize life's most significant events while they're happening. Back then, I thought, "Well, there'll be other days". I didn't realize that that was the only day. - "Moonlight" Graham

It is amazing how much extra time you have in your day when you get rid of the honey and her honey-do list isn’t it? It’s also great when you are never wrong at home.

That’s funny, because I never asked that question the entire time I was married. Wouldn’t have made any difference in the outcome.
My life instantly became more awesome when I went to my new home with that signed divorce decree in my hand. After so many miserable years, it was over. Sweet freedom at last.
The evil in women’s hearts leaves them no moral bounds as to inhibit them from descending to the lowest levels of darkness to acquire their self entitled desires.
Welcome! It IS a relief to get your freedom back. There’s a reason they came out with that ball and chain analogy long ago.
