A man died today. He sat next to me at work.

A young man with his whole life ahead of him. The details aren’t important other than he is no longer on this s~~~ stain of a planet. Drugs. I don’t know if it was because he was from a single parent home or he just made bad decisions.

It is s~~~ like this that p~~~es me off. I see young men dropping out. Fine, I get it. I support it. But God Damn It, stay away from drugs. They steal your soul, break your mind, enslave you worse than any female. Don’t give me that crap that its only a little weed. They are all psychoactive substances. They make you feel because they are messing with your brain. You fought to get females out of your brain, Why the f~~~ are you putting something else there?

If you are using them, Stop. If you need help, f~~~ing get some help.

I’m not your mom or some damn Nancy Reagan PSA.

I agree with you. We need to spread the message “No Drugs”. Taking drugs is one of the worst thing a man can do. Thank you for sharing this postive message.

    Drugs you say?

I’m not buying any of that “do”s and “don’t”s because there is science.

I’m not saying I’m going to disregard the fact, that if you take the lethal dose of drugs you die. I’m saying the saying itself (do/nt do drugs) doesn’t command me anything.

Yes, drugs do harm. He obviously overdid it.

You are going to die alone with a needle in your arm.

This would be the best ending when my time has ran out to be honest.

"We are free to follow our own path. There are those who will take that freedom from us, and too many of you gladly give it. But it is our ability to choose – whatever you think is true – that makes us human. There is no book or teacher to give you the answers, to show you the path. Choose your own way! Do not follow me, or anyone else."

Absolutely, Entropy always wins. But there is dieing alone and there is dieing alone. He died as a slave on his knees with a needle in his arm. He died before he could pull the needle out of his arm.

@icecold, do what you will. Live your life as you think is best. I respect that and you.

I’m not here to lecture anyone. Not my place place. But I believe that sometimes a tough message is needed.

However, there is one man out there…I am talking to you. Drugs are going to kill you and you know it. Do something about it. See your doctor. Get some f~~~ing help. I care about you.

Don’t give me that crap that its only a little weed.

Studies have shown smoking Marijuana around ages 14-18 can create problems in the brain that may eventually turn into Schizophrenia and a number of other neurological problems later in life.

Jan, I am sad to hear about your loss and I don’t agree with hard drugs, and I include booze as a hard drug. I have seen family members and many good friends start out on weed and dive deeper into addictions on hard drugs that they cannot control. The county I grew up in allows open access to criminal records and court details and there are tons of people I went to high school with a decade ago who are now convicted felons and/or dead because they chose that awful lifestyle. Many of them started out selling weed and went onto hard drugs..

I’m a big fan of Neil, and he wrote that song about his first drummer, Danny Whitten, who overdosed on Heroin in the mid-60s back when Neil’s band consisted of himself, Rick James on Bass and Danny on drums. Neil had once said in an interview that he wrote the song after he couldn’t believe people such as Danny who had so much talent and success could “shoot it up their arm”. It’s a beautiful song and one to take the lyrics to heart.

With respect to you, I don’t want to get into some MGTOW debate or discussion on such a somber note, but Neil has moved off his 1,500 acre ranch he bought in 1969, with the money he made on that album. He divorced his wife last summer and has been dating that idiot hippie chick, Darryl Hannah. What an idiot he was. I was just up in the Santa Cruz mountains camping with my dogs and drove through the town of La Honda, where he lived and had his ranch, and what a beautiful place it is. Plus Pegi was legit, she runs the Bridge School which supports kids with severe Cerebral Palsy, kids who are sadly vegetables and need computers speak for them, their own son Ben Young being one of them. Neil also has another child with Cerebral Palsy that isn’t as serious as Ben’s case. I’ll always have respect for Neil and Pegi, but I don’t understand what he was thinking going off the deep end like he did.

I am sad to read about your loss. Drugs like that are terrible and it’s tough and painful to watch someone you care about do that to themselves.

I’ve got to make a correction to my last post, Danny Whitten was Neil’s backup guitarist, not the drummer, and he died in 1972, not the mid-60s like I stated above. Don’t like spreading mis-information, but the story about Whitten and Neil’s ‘The Needle and the Damage Done’ are still true. A decade of time will misconstrue the evidence in my brain… I don’t research that topic often and was going on what I thought was correct. My bad…

It’s suspected that’s what happened to a young man who lived near me. Started smoking weed in college. Shortly after he developed schizophrenia and was off his meds. He was found dead in his mother’s basement of a self inflicted knife wound to the throat. His mother is still grieving the loss to this day.

With life today being as competitive, difficult, complicated and dangerous (especially in certain cities) as it is, the last thing you need to do is to compromise your ability to think and act under pressure.

I don’t drink, smoke or do drugs as I need 100% of my brain, 100% of the time.

    Sad story Jan, indeed.

I’m currently losing a friend to excessive alcohol consumption right now. He’s facing nearly the same series of multiple traumatic hits I personally took 5 to 6 years ago. Yes, I drank some, but I mainly use exercise to work my problems through.

Drugs and excessive alcohol use are a waste of your #1 resource. Time….

They’re cutting heroin with Fentanyl these days. The lethal dose of Fentanyl is very close to the therapeutic dose. We’ve lost a number of men and women here including a guy I went to high school with. He was known as a very sharp IT guy.

    Sorry to hear that Jan..

Reminds me of a few years ago, I was part of a two-man marketing team. My colleagues friend bought a convertible on Friday, and on the Sunday he took my colleague and two women out for a ride, ended up doing 180kph in a 80kph zone, on the WRONG side of the road (trying to pass stationary cars).

Needless to say, the oncoming traffic caused him to swerve off the road, the car was catapulted roof first (this is a convertible, roof was down) into a old, tall tree. The two men died instantly. The women survived.

So, trying to impress women cost the lives of two men.

There is no comparison between the two. Heroin, Cocaine and Alcohol kill people regularly. Weed should be legal. Weed is less dangerous than alcohol unless the police catch you with it, or you lose your job due to it.

Personally, I eschew using it these days because it makes me anxious which it used to not do when I was young. I would not even use it if it were legal in my State. All I can say is that you’d be surprised who smokes pot in your community. Not all heads are lazy. I don’t have a problem with people who toke though as I know quite a few including some who are very successful.

I always made high A’s on Physics whenever I studied for the tests while high. My short term memory was shot to hell and back, but learning the theory while stoned was very, very cool. I saved the memorization work for the next morning.

I think all drugs should be legal because it’s your body, so you can use it how you see fit as long as you’re not harming others.

With that being said, I hate using most drugs as it is. I’m trying to stay away from caffeinated beverages like soda and even energy drinks. I drink alcohol, but only every now and then.

In my opinion, people should stay away from drugs as much as possible and only use certain ones that won’t harm you that much like alcohol in moderation. But, as I said before, it’s their own body so it’s their choice as to what they put in it. Even if I don’t agree with their decision.

That’s really s~~~ Jan, sorry for your loss.

My brother has been through a lot but in comparison you could say that he was lucky since it hasn’t taken his life.

Married at 24, he has now had 4 kids with his wife after 5 years of being together.

Late last year his wife told him that she was gay. Yep, a full-blown lesbian.

I have nothing against gay people but what a f~~~ing moron. I mean how exactly do you tell twin 3 year old boys that the reason their Dad isn’t around as much is because their mother is gay?

Poor guy took it pretty bad (as you would since this had nothing to do with anything he had done wrong) and turned to ice as a solution.

This took its toll on our whole family as it destroys your mind and the only thing you can focus on is ‘what can I do to get more?’ The more we tried to support him and work out what was going on, the more lies we received. He got some money through his property being sold and do you know where it all went? Yep, it was all wasted on a f~~~ing drug.

I guess all I am trying to say gents is please STAY AWAY from drugs. I completely agree that they have the potential to mess up your life even more than a woman can.

He has just been through rehab, it has been a long road but I know that in time he will get his s~~~ back together.

I will be introducing him the golden wisdom this site has to offer when the time is right.

    Thank God it exists!

I’m sorry for your loss Jan. It’s a fine thing that you turn it around into a positive message here. I’d no idea that weed and schizophrenia were linked. Had always wanted to try it years from now but guess I won’t.

Avoiding the wrong places helps. The damned pushers show up where people are vulnerable. They know alcohol impairs judgement. So they push.
