What are we to become?
A new species?

Just as We came from the Oceans, billions of years ago.
We yearn for change, to become something else.
Something better.

Even today, though we have come a long way, desiring more, while still those we once called family

never evolved.
still just fish.
scared of change.

Those listening to my voice,
calling out to the winds of change.
Who refuse to stagnate,
feel the fire building within!
yearn to be more!
don’t stagnate,
don’t be fish!
be special, be everything you can possibly be!
Step into the flames!
Dare to be free!

and though, it beckons you frightfully,
calling you on.
and even though it frightens you.
yes it does,
and still you walk towards it, undeterred!

We are the lost boys,
undeterred,
and we will have our day.
a place of our own.
hidden away somewhere,
away from it all.

We will drink from David’s cup.
For we can see over the horizon.

we will travel the roads
and to the future, onwards and onwards into the night!

pushing boundaries ever forwards,
marching through our fear of the unknown.

we are there,
just a keystroke away.
sharing the same ideas,
with the same freedoms,
a vision of a future we can all see.
a destination we can all reach within our lifespans.
