Abraham Maslow wrote about self-actualization in his book “Toward a Psychology of Being”. After reading this, I was pleasantly surprised about the enormous amount of overlap between Maslow’s hierarchy of needs/self-actualization and MGTOW philosophy.

MGTOW is the path to freedom and self-actualization.

I don’t normally share my videos on mgtow.com because I know the forums is a separate community from MGTOW youtube. However, this is something that I feel is vitally important. Here is the book cover, and a link to my video:

Thank you for the share brother. Much appreciate the book referral. I would read it.

For me on a personal level – the ability to not care as much about others perception of me has allowed me to be far more content with life than I had imagined.

The freedom is almost scary when you compare to the drones around you hooked on crumbs of validation from others.

No doubt I must be seen as a bit off for finding contentment in small things – but life was never about being a slave to our primitive needs.

    MGTOW is an awakening.

    +1.

sir, you are not “a bit off”. This is perfectly normal and beneficial.
this was one of the items listed in the book.

“Self actualized people are generally able to enjoy more aspects of life. They don’t just enjoy triumph and peak experiences, they also enjoy those quiet moments. So they’re able to be happy even when they are not stimulated from the outside.”

To keep the video short, i didn’t include everything. this is one of the points i believe i did not cover.

MGTOW is not a movement, it is a way of life.

    Thanks Blue Skies.
Your video gives a good overview of the concepts and I’m certainly going to read the book.

Most of the points you raised are clearly applicable to MGTOW and may help brothers to find their own way.

"...reinvent your life because you must; it is your life and its history and the present belong only to you.” It is Your Life, Charles Bukowski.
