There were so many versions of the classic movie A Christmas Carol, and I never seen them all. My favorite version is the one I’m watching right now as I type this message and that’s the one where George C. Scott plays Scrooge made in 1984. I saw the one in 1933 but I thought it was very slow and boring.

What is everyone’s favorite version of A Christmas Carol?

Have you seen the new one about the guy writing the original story. Im no expert but I think it was well done.
Watched it as background noise one night and liked it enough to never change the channel. LOL

Im happy the holidays are here. Im doing okay this year. PEACE AND QUIET

The one with George C Scott. I’ve seen it done a dozen ways, but the 1984 was how the story was written. A dark story, critical of Great Britain ruling class, but spiritual with a happy ending.

I just wonder why some versions call the third ghost the ghost of Christmas Future and some versions it’s Yet To Come.

The Alister Sim one us by far the best. The Patrick Stewart version is worth watching too.

There is a version called An American Christmas Carol with Henry Winkler.
    I like that one too.

The Alister Sim one is my favorite.

My favorite is the one where the Ghost of Christmas Bullets Dodged shows Scrooge how fucked he would have been if he’d married that AWALT Belle instead of sticking to business. Then everyone stops bugging Scrooge, he keeps all his money, and he buys a motorcycle. Best version ever.

Seriously, A Christmas Carol is just an example of society shaming and blaming an old successful MGHOW because they want a cut of his stored resources instead of letting him enjoy the fruits of his labors in peace.

Scrooge should have told the Ghosts of Christmas Gynocentrism to go fuck themselves and gone back to sleep. He’s a busy man. He needs his rest.

And consider Bob Cratchit (a blue pill simp if I’ve ever seen one), busting his ass to support that giant family. How many of those kids do you think were actually his? He spent all day, every day at the counting house while his “neglected” wife was at home left to her own devices. I bet their mailman walked with a limp.

Dickens’ was writing for the newspapers. His down at heel east ender white trash audience didn’t understand complex words like “future”. You give them two syllables and they skip right past your story to the page three girl. Meanwhile , urbane American audiences, who can actually deal with medium sized words like “future” and “hygiene”, don’t have time for lots of little loser words like “yet to come”.

Bill Murray’s comedic modern-day version, “Scrooged”, is very good and entertaining.

I know this may sound crazy, but I really like Disney’s 2010 version with Jim Carrey as voice of Scrooge. What makes this version good to me is they use a lot of the original dialogue from Dicken’s book. And the Ghost of Christmas Future is well done and fairly dark for Disney.

That said the 1984 version you reference in OP is the best.

I kind of stopped watching this stuff. It just reminds me just how stupid I was thinking this was the right way to be.
Its all Epic Bulls~~~ tier. Just more programing to get you to think about how I should be more generous, while at the same time, someone who is REALLY well off expects you to do the work.

I do enough for people— thank you.

I’m not stupid anymore. I know where all this s~~~ is going. And my heart is a dead cold stop when I see the manipulation of it.

You are all alone. If you have been falsely accused of RAPE, DV, PLEASE let all men know about the people who did this. http://register-her.net/web/guest/home

My favourite version is the one where Scrooge is played by Adrien Brody and he’s a Jewish piano player in Nazi occupied Poland. I don’t remember too many of the story’s details as I usually have been drinking when I watch it…
