The story speaks for itself …

    http://dailycaller.com/2015/01/06/woman-refuses-to-accept-975-million-hand-written-check-video/

An oil and gas tycoon in Oklahoma wrote a $975 million check by hand — and even got the date correct, a hard task this soon after the New Year — but it was all for nothing.

Sue Ann Arnall declined to accept a check for $974,790,317.77 from her ex-husband, Harold Hamm, the CEO of Continental Resources, an oil and gas company headquartered in Oklahoma City, CNBC reported. That massive sum is what Hamm was ordered to pay Arnall in a divorce judgement handed down in November.

But Arnall has appealed the decision on the grounds that Hamm is worth an estimated $18 billion, and she believes she deserves a larger payout.

I saw a snippet of this case on TV back in November. If nothing else, it would be nice if this would be a wake-up call to society about how insane divorce settlements can get. However, it’s unlikely to happen unfortunately.

Lets try putting into perspective just how much money 975 million is (basically a billion). If he were to pay $1000 to 10 different girls every day for sex, totaling $10,000 a day, for 50 YEARS, it would only amount to 182.5 million. That’s less than 20% of the money offered to her. Are you asking him to liquidate his 20 billion dollar assets? You realize its not that simple right? You can live off of 25 million dollars a year for the next 40 years with a billion dollars. This is all just malicious horses~~~. If you ever needed a reason to not get married, this is about as clear as it gets. Would you buy a restaurant because you were hungry? No. Only rent what flies, floats, or f~~~s.
The worst part is that the news article I read about this was f~~~ing promoting it. Picture of the girl head up, smiling. “The woman who turned down 1 billion dollars.” As if this is something woman are supposed to be aspiring to or something. The entitled attitude is just mind boggling.
