I feel conflicted about this report. I thought that rooting out the conspirators whom hid within the bureaucracies would be more difficult. Instead, these individuals openly announce themselves by the hundreds.
I expected better from those individuals. But, I am happy because this will make draining the swamp much easier.
Unfortunately many of these “officials” are not political appointments. Therefore Trump can’t simply fire them. As career federal employees they have employment rights under federal regulations and getting rid of them will be extremely tough! They would have to go through the complete removal/disciplinary process and then the entire appeal process through the Merit System Protection Board. Very long, Very drawn out, and very uncertain. But it can be done.
Hammer time.
Slash their jobs and save money.
The tree begins to shake and the nuts fall out.Slash their jobs and save money.
True if the position is eliminated as opposed to firing someone and leaving the position that is another matter entirely. That in the end would work.
I tell ya..When the people who are in the government don’t love their own country enough to make it safe we are better off without them!

Actually, there are two ways President Trump can fire them. First, he can issue them an order, within reason, they will refuse to follow, and he fires them for not carrying out their duties.
Or, President Trump can change the rules, fire them, and ignore the courts order to reinstate them. This would not be the first time a president would ignore the courts over internal matters. The results of such presidential moves are mixed.
Remember when President Reagan fired those air traffic controllers.
The problem is that his enemies might use this as grounds for his impeachment.
True BUT the air traffic controllers went on strike which they were prohibited from doing…that gave him the open door to fire them—and even then the MSPB was inidated with over 3000 appeals which took years to resolve.
Yes he can ignore the ruling of the MSPB but then THEY go to US district court to enforce their rulings he can’t ignore that. Believe me I did this sort of thing for 20 years its damn hard to fire ANYONE.
I really think eliminating the position, or cutting the funds so the position can’t be funded is the way to go.
These twits forget that they are ‘public servants’ and the public voted Donald Trump as their president to make decisions in their best interests. If they refuse to execute these decisions they should resign or risk joining the unemployment queue. Sure plenty of others would like their cushy, climate-controlled jobs –

Actually, there is a history of presidents ignoring court orders.
Of course, it is clear President Trump is a political chess genius. So, I am sure he has something in mind.
Though, Congress and the President could just strip federal workers of their unions by passing a law.

I agree, he knows US district courts answer to US courts of appeals, and they answer to the Supreme Court—and with a 5-4 majority he wins in the end.

I believe he will not take that option until he has a chance at a 6-3 majority in his favor. And that is very possible within the next few years.
The government takes a long time to hire someone, and they take just as long to fire someone.
That said, I wouldn’t mind being an ambassador or liaison to a nice South America country or some place with nice ski resorts and good whiskey if the state department would like to engage in some massive turnover.

Anonymous1Move their positions from the cushy metros to upper-bumf~~~ Iowa (no offense to Iowan’s intended) and have them count pencil stockpiles.
They’ll quit soon enough.
