Is anyone else here a fan at all?

There are times when I seriously envy those of you who either grew up/came of age in the 80s, it just seemed like a whole different universe that has almost nothing in common with anything popular today (and the s~~~ty remakes of movies from that era don’t count).

Opinions tend to be very divided on this sort of music but I can’t get enough of it.

Also, for what it’s worth, I’ve yet to meet a woman who’s a fan of this music or even knows most of the bands.

I’m in the same boat as you are, my friend.

I can listen to Van Halen- Humans Being or Unchained all day, every day, at max. volume, and still get the tingles every time it comes on.

And no, girls have NO clue what i’m on about. They always have todays hits or new country on. I HATE new country sweet mother of god I hate it. Back on topic, 80’s rock is good.

Also dabble in heavy metal, bands like Misery signals, but thats serious business. Only in small doses.

Thanks Hitman. Went through a few, wanted something tough but not modern. Something we can all relate to. I strongly dislike todays manginas.

Most of the US Festival in 83 is pretty good but whatever you do, don’t watch Van Halen’s performance! As much as it pains me to say it and even though they were headlining, those guys were OFF that night. Rumor has it they were partying all day and snorted a bunch of llello before taking the stage. It shows….especially with David Lee Roth, he forgets half the words and sings horribly off key.

Ozzy struggled a little bit here on the opening song (Over the Mountain), but otherwise put on a good show.
