After reading those “Sexodus” articles some weeks ago and eventually finding my way here, I feel like John Hurt 30 seconds after eating a bowl of pasta on the spaceship Nostromo. Jesus, this really puts the lie to that BS ‘fairer’ sex line – nothing fair about them … sorry, just realized it’s a 2010 article, I mis-read the date, but still it’s probably even gotten worse …
Sixty per cent of married women have used underhand tactics in an effort to get engaged, a startling new survey has revealed. Of the 3,600 brides polled, a third admitted to bullying their partner into proposing by threatening to leave him. Seventeen per cent sent themselves flowers from a fake admirer, and 10 per cent deliberately get pregnant or falsely claimed to be expecting.
Young women aged between 16 and 20 were found to be the worst offenders with 62 per cent resorting to dirty tricks. Of these, 32 per cent became, or pretended to be pregnant, to entice their boyfriends into engagement.
The survey, commissioned by UKTV channel Really to mark its ‘Up The Aisle’ season, revealed that nearly a third of women did not enjoy their wedding day as much as they thought they would, and a staggering 62 per cent of couples did not have sex on their wedding night.
Over a quarter of the women questioned said their one regret about their wedding day was their choice of groom.
Anonymous14Something like this?
Jesus, I remember that show Triklops. Thanks for sharing, reminds me why I no longer watch tv.
Isn’t entrapment of that sort illegal? If it isn’t, it should be and the marriages that resulted annulled and declared invalid. After all, they were based on false pretences, right?
GoneGalt: holy s~~~! why am i not surprised at those numbers. @QuarterWaveVertical: good luck getting any justice system to convict them.
It’s remarkable but not surprising 1200 / 3600 women threaten to leave until they get a little blue box from Tiffany under tree.
First of all, scare tactics to get a man to do something he wouldn’t normally do willingly (so she relies on “if you don’t propose to be by Christmas, it’s over” ) is the first evidence he needs to know the relationship has no staying power in the first place. It means:
1. She wants to “get married” and doesn’t give f~~~ who it is. She wants the wedding, ring, party, dress, cake, more than HIM.
2. She can’t get a man to embrace her willingly by being a lovely person, so in the same way the Church tries to scare you into believing if you don’t embrace Jesus you are going to burn in hell for all eternity…… she is so outrageously full of herself, she says “if you don’t marry ME you’re going to DIE ALONE”. Where the f~~~ have we heard that before.
Never fall for that, boys. That’s as silly as telling a woman “if you don’t blow me you’re never gonna see a penis again”.
What kind sales pitch is that?3. She is trying to get the ring as a GIFT. If you give it to her at Christmas (for example) it’s not YOUR RING anymore. If it’s a gift you have no legal recourse to get it back. If you give it to her on some random Tuesday, it is still YOUR RING which she is only permitted to wear because you gave her permission to wear it. That’s what an engagement ring is. It’s your ring. But women go on Facebook and run around to show all their friends “look at MY ring” and “my wedding is in six weeks”. It’s not HER ring or HER wedding. It’s HIS ring and OUR wedding with 2 f~~~ing participants.
4. If you have to give her a ring, get her a CEZ ring for $99. After all….. a fake diamond is still a “real ring”.
If she needs slippery methods to get a man, then she is simply NOT MARRIAGEABLE.
They are desperate and will stop at nothing because they have completely lost the ability to bond with men in any meaningful way.If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.KeyMaster:
Yup! The whole process is simply to focus attention on her and her day. Never mind that there’s a groom somewhere in the picture and, in many cases, children as well. It all has to be perfect, as if her life depended upon it, which is why we’ve had the rise of the bridezilla in recent years.
Come on, ladies, it’s not like you’re trying to land on the moon–each time that happened, it was difficult but it was also a pivotal event in world history. By comparison, women get married all the time and under less auspicious circumstances.
Anonymous5The best part is the day after they are married when the realization sinks in: “Ummmm…that’s it? I spent my entire life for that one day…and that’s it? Waaaaahhhhh, argh, guess I better pretend to be happy until I find someone better and divorce this loser”.
I hope with the rise of MGTOW and the internet in general people start seeing the farse that is marriage. And I believe it is already seeing as North American marriages are at record lows.
