The median is the value separating the higher half of a data sample, a population, or a probability distribution, from the lower half.

    24%

We’re all shacking up: That’s the percent of young adults (25 to 34) living with a significant other while unmarried, aka cohabiting, according to Current Population Survey data. So yes, it’s definitely normal — although don’t assume that living with your S.O. will definitely lead to marriage. By some measures, only one-third of marriages have started that way.

    25.3

That’s the median age American women are having their first baby, as found by the Census and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This number represents the “Great Crossover,” whereby the median age at first marriage actually exceeded the median age for first birth — meaning more and more women are having babies, then getting married, not the other way around. As of 2013, about 48% of first births are happening out of “wedlock” (as our parents once called it), according to a report by the National Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy.

    26.1

The median age for first marriage for women, also found via census data. This is a historic high, having risen from a mere 23.9 in 1990. Go tell your mother to stop rushing you.

That massive number represents the average cost of dating per year for one person, based on a national survey of 5,000 singles by Match.com. Of course, that means the people who spend this much are the active daters — one respondent told USA Today he goes on four dates a week, minimum. That just sounds exhausting and painful.

No wonder bluepilled men go off their rockers after pursuing pussy that hard. Four dates a week!?! Damn! Some people like masochism.
738 bucks per year to listen to a self-entitled men-hating bitch who’ll shame you and ditch you if you don’t pay for the entire date.
No thank you. I don’t even spend that much on Ladies although they deserve every penny they get.

Interesting how they are using median instead of average. It makes me wonder what the average numbers are.

I think I’m reading the numbers wrong, but it seems to me that when a man choses to marry a woman, odds are, she’s coming with a kid(s) in tow.

I think it’s also rather telling how some of the stats provided are for one gender only.
    – They provide stats on women having their first baby, but not men? Clear indication that the author (and most people) view children as belonging to women.

    – They provide stats on how much sex a man is getting, but not women. Why not both? Is because you want to promote the narrative that men are only interested in sex? You would expect that the data is about the same right? If women are having more sex then men, that must mean they are having sex with the same guys (Chad). If women are having less sex, that would imply that there are some real sluts out there. I have to believe it’s the former though, as the author would include the data if it made women look good.

    Ok. Then do it.

@ narwhal. I was thinking the exact thing. I would like to see the original empirical data from the studies. I think mean would have been a better metric to measure the data.

That’s how many Americans who are single. That’s 50.2% of the adult population that’s untethered, surpassing the population halfway mark for the first time in history (since researchers have been measuring such things, at least).

My guess is that this number will increase rapidly in the next decade. Dating is still cheaper than marriage and your odds of getting laid is better.

Wow, they are doing SOMETHING wrong.

I learned real fast to make first dates “coffee dates” so that I’m already there early, sitting down with my own coffee so she goes and gets her own.

7 months of dating and somewhere around 50 first dates, and I ended up with 3 flings (longer than a one-night stand) and then towards the end, two girlfriends (unintentional) – one of whom I broke up with earlier this month since more than 3 months with 2 girlfriends was pushing my luck.

All my life I've had doubts about who I am, where I belonged. Now I'm like the arrow that springs from the bow. No hesitation, no doubts. The path is clear. And what are you? Alive. Everything else is negotiable. Women have rights; men have responsibilities; MGTOW have freedom. Marriage is for chumps. If someone stands in the way of true justice, you simply walk up behind them and stab them in the heart-R'as al Ghul.

Yep. They use kids to bully men into getting married.

Interesting how they are using median instead of average. It makes me wonder what the average numbers are.

I suspect the number of youts in the poorer ranks, who father children but don’t support them at 15 and 16 would skew the numbers a bit.

What I would like to see is the number of women who have multiple children, from multiple fathers.

The girl I thought was “the one” in college, I finally found on social media. 5 kids. 3 fathers. Just hit 43 and has a newborn, who’s younger than her first grandchild. Posts things like “A man willing to step up and raise someone else’s child is a hero”.

    Yeah, I dodged a big f~~~ing bullet.

If the raw numbers were published…well, we’d be outraged. Women would just rationalize it, like they do now.

So what does fashion/style have to do with modern dating? Oh sorry, she’s a woman and an expert on dating. My mistake

My response to that kind of post would probably be “Your ‘Hero’ is a Chump”.

At age 43 and after 5 kids, how badly has the Wall hit her?
