There are several reasons that christianity freaks me out. These are just 10 of them.
1. They enforce their rules on me even though im not a Christian.
2. They expect me to give 100% of my life to a god that’s existence hasnt been proven.
3. They say that if a person who has leadership skills refuses to be a preacher then he is going to hell.
4. They expect me to get babtized ASAP after a powerful cermon even though I dont believe in God.
5. They expect me to believe and take to heart everything a preacher says.
6. They expect me to want to go to a christian college.
7.They expect me to follow every unwritten rule that they make up(the unwritten creed of the Church of Christ).
8. They expect all members of their church and their kids to only Court and marry Church of Christ Women.
9. My parents forced me to be surrounded by Church of Christ christians.
10. These church of christ christians have no doubts about their faith inspite of the lack of evidence. I could almost call them delusional for that.
I get weirded out by religion every day except for saturday. I would love to hear about the experiences of my fellow MGTOWs about religion freaking them out. Please post some comments and stay tuned for my next topic(the unwritten creed of the Church of Christ).
Just so everyone knows Im not talking about all christians, just the conservative Church of Christ).I'm married to the game, but she broke her vows.
I don’t mean to offend but Church of Christ sounds almost cultish.

I would equate this behavior as the same type of behavior that my father demonstrated when I was a kid. He wouldn’t let me play with another boy down the block because he was mentally challenged in some way. Mental disabilities are not contagious. If your parents had faith that you had been properly indoctrinated (Inoculated?) then they would not have the fear that you would catch some form of spiritual form of gonorrhea.
At any rate. I am a christian. God gave you a brain for a reason. A doctor and his research team has managed to cure a specific form of terminal cancer using the HIV virus with an over 90% success rate. That took intelligence and leadership skills. Your own ability to use logic and reason to arrive at certain conclusions about your own life is a gift from Him.
Walk your own path in search of wisdom. You may be questioning your own faith but His prophets can be found on every street corner. You just have to listen.
"I asked you a question. I didn't ask you to repeat what the voices in you head are telling you" ~ Me. ........Yes I'm still angry.
I agree with Soldier-Medic. It DOES sound cult-ish.
A lot of the sects of Christianity are misled and misinformed, and they don’t follow Biblically at all. If they did, they’d see the overall message isn’t to work your way to Heaven…it’s just to honestly ask forgiveness for the sins we commit to the Savior, period. Once we do that, we’re forgiven past, present, and future. We can do good things afterward as a “thanks” for being saved and all, but for some sects to say that we can lose our salvation because we don’t do exactly as they see is legalistic, which is what Christianity is not supposed to be. It has its own rules, but it’s not “you can only spend time with [insert sect here]”, “you can only marry [this sect here]”, etc., and it’s not dependent on your eternal salvation.
My next topic (The unwritten creed of the Church of Christ) will be in the Philosophy forum.

Not even scientology weirds me out.
What you’re dealing with there is a social group attempting to enforce conformity. The only difference between it and every other conformist social group is a minor matter of dogma. The choice for you is always the same: Do you conform? Or do you do whatever the f~~~ you want instead?
Dude…try Mormonism. That’s a hoot.
Not really sure what group of Christians you are running into, but they seem to be a poor example. Love thy neighbor as thy love thyself. It’s a very hard concept. You have to do on to others in what you would hope would happen to you if you had done the same thing.
Most of today’s modern religious organizations pervert what is there in order to control others. Jesus was the ultimate MGTOW. He went his own way and pointed out actual injustices of the time. Many of the allegories he used had several meanings. He was a very dangerous man.
Like most nonbelievers you are seeing the flaw of man and thinking it is the flaw of God. Once, like you see past the BS of Political Society, you see past the BS of other “religious leaders” you will find your own way. Like a MGTOW should.
Don't stick your dick into anyone you aren't willing to put up with for eighteen years and nine months.
I wouldn’t say I’m weirded out about most religions, I simply don’t believe. As long as people treat me the way I always treat them then we’ll have no problems. And part of that is requiring that people don’t try to prosleytize me, whether friends, family or strangers who knock on my door (I don’t go to their doors asking them to reject religion, fair is fair). Cults, now, yeah, I stay the hell away from those loonies.
You have to identify your problem first. Is it the Church of Christ or all Christians in general? A lot of these protestant faiths are more businesses than theological institutions.
To get back to your statements, most are false. Your criticisms may be correct, but what you are being taught is false. If this issue is bothering you, I would recommend more research and study. I would also recommend prayer, but I doubt you would do that. Anyhow, the Church of Christ has a lot of issues both theologically and philosophically, put very very briefly.
Also many of your problems seem to not only stem from an issue of “faith” but the type of people you are around. You are going to have to gain an understanding of the how’s and why’s there behavior is affecting you and learn to separate what is behavioral from what is the actual faith. People are not perfect, but it does not justify poor behavior.
if you have Problems with Christianity, and, want some Comedy About it, search for Darkmatter2525 on you tube. he makes Animations about Christianity and what is wrong with it. I laughed my ass off for the most of these Videos.
I hate going to church, it creeps me out big time. I only ever go when I have to, such as occasions like family baptisms, and funerals. I feel so strange when I sit there and listen to the person preaching; it feels surreal. Do these people do it for tradition, or do they really believe in what they are saying? I can only describe the feeling I get from churches as “dirty”, and “void of agency”.
I appreciate the bible as a historical document; I find it fascinating. But the strange feelings come around when I’m surrounded by people that treat its every verse as fact, and begin preaching the bible’s definition of “love”.
I do like most Christians as individuals though, just to be clear that I’m not trying to offend anyone.
