Not my government! Only shame, ridicule, disgust, and death fill my political seat!

She’s become the filthy whore she’s become!

If you rescue a damsel in distress, all you will get is a distressed damsel.

I was thinking the same thing.
This seems like we are reentering the McCarthy era all over again.

If the BBC doesn’t like it, or won’t report it at all, it’s probably true.

Check. Add to that the activism and lobbying efforts that are impacting government, it is no wonder we are drifting aimlessly.

They generally only rebut if you are seen as a threat. Otherwise, you get ignored. Being ignored isn’t a sign of validity as much. I will say that, if you end up being enough of a threat, you will get a knock at your door by law enforcement, the feds, etc… to discuss things and see things. When I had been doing Occupy awhile, I found out one of the guys there who drove things, when he ended up waiting in jail due to a domestic disturbance issue he got dragged into, had a visit by the Fed, who wanted him to be an informant on what was going on. He was enough of an issue. Thing is that, while they visited him, he pretty much got disowned by the group there.

There is very little way to tell what is “real news”. People have biases. There is both the bias in what is considered an authority to sort truth, and also what the end point is for things, or desired outcome.
