So here is the view of my “involuntary home” between 1976 and 1978
First is the Google Earth view from 2001, one year before this place was torn down.
In 2002 this Children’s Home was completely leveled and is now a small kindergarden and a big green meadow…
In a city in Bavaria, that normally has a very healthy economy, this place would have made nice luxury apartments or a big business site.
But instead, it was torn down and is just a green field now.
There must be a reason for this. I never found any information on it, but it was clear that this 1960’s and 1970’s concrete architecture building had all the toxic materials in it that were banned and had to be removed. Many of these buildings are already leveled after only 20 years of use. All asbestos, PCB, PCP, Lindane, Formaldehyde, PSA, Dioxins and other contaminants were so deeply soaked into the concrete that these buildings were unsalvageable.
But then, leaving this big site empty? That is a mystery to me.
Or the big question: What happened there, that I did not see?
Or what became of this place after I left?
Maybe it had become a place of pilgrimage.
Maybe they had too many unwanted visitors, that wanted to come back to the place of their broken childhood. I had been there in 1992 and after “hearing it was gone”, again in 2010. Looking for remains that I could identify…
So there must be a reason for this “green meadow” instead of a big supermarket or fast food joint.
I guess something evil must have happened in there, and they want to clear the memory of this place from the city’s conscience.
There is only a small memorial sign on the city wall…
On the 2001 photos, I can still see my room. And from there I could look down one floor and see the guy sitting in solitary confinement. We could always make hand signs, not letting anybody see it. They would always put runaways into this cell. Sometimes for weeks at a time. That is one of the unconstitutional things that were done just to scare off other inmates from runaway attempts.
But that says something about the quality of the “childcare workers”: Kids were running away. And it happened very often. So that home wasn’t a home after all. Our vile c~~~ childcare workers were just stupid and loveless c~~~s.

90 percent stress, blaming, guilt shaming, yelling, beating, de-humiliation in front of the group, threatening of extended punishments, destruction of self-esteem, punishments against human dignity and the use of collective force in any situation.
(Collective force: Many t~~~s together would “take on” one boy, leaving nothing out…)These violent t~~~s were just standard c~~~s, right out of school. Not even “specially trained” violent predator c~~~s… A few years later, my school mates reminded me so much of these “predator machines” that I was almost proud to having repelled any girlfriend.
They are not friends, they are dangerous to your sanity.
No warm heart, just backhanded and impulsive slapping for everything. They knew that I was “the kid to watch out for”, that must have been the reason why I was in the room right above the “night~~~ch bureau”… (Center of the lower part of the building, further details upon request)
The tiniest noise that we would make at night and they would come and “stand there and bitch”.
They would even hear the “click-clack” from my cassette recorder mechanism. And punish me for using it. But I began using a pillow underneath it…
Many stories, but all they did was make me completely incompatible with possessive women.
And they did that to all of the boys. I was one of the “easiest”, always trying to “fly underneath the c~~~ radar” and “outsmarting” them.
90 % of these foster home inmates became lifelong “broken” welfare recipients.
Not me, because I began to give a s~~~ about anything women said to me.
