Yes, I just practiced self-discipline this morning. I got into a conversation that could have gone way further…

Self-Discipline is Key for MGTOW. And for running any business in the world. And for achieving whatever you dreamed of doing and creating in your life.

Self discipline is the decision to be disciplined and the decision TO STICK TO IT.

Stick to your decision and keep working towards your goal even if things are looking dark or in spite of “not feeling like it”.

It is the counterweight to the “squirrel syndrome” most people have.

All fulfilling lives were founded on

– having a goal
– making a decision that you will not turn over on a whim
– working towards it on a daily basis
– sticking with that goal
– and winning in the end

Almost all inventions were the result of tedious but demanding work and getting over hundreds of failures to finally single out which version will work.

And then reaping the benefits of this work.

Discipline is sticking to your path and not to let yourself get distracted.

And that includes getting distracted by “the wrong reference group” that can also be defined as “the wrong friends” who will most likely have a negative influence on you and will stand in your way of reaching your goal.

Women are the premium brakes you can have in your life. They will make sure that you do not evolve and “outgrow yourself”.

So, discipline is saying no to women. No to marriage and everything that will MAKE YOU FAIL at reaching your life goals.

I also share some Asperger traits. Never diagnosed as such but able to analyze things on tiny hints. If I see 1000 small parts I detect one that’s out of line by one glance.

Helps in finding defective soldering joints on circuit boards. And I remember trivial things for decades. Customers were often “off the rails” (in a positive way) when they walked into my shop and I still remembered what type of TV and satellite dish configuration I had sold them 12 years before… “Oh and you have that 100 Hz Kreta with Chassis 699 – Yes, the one with special piano black case”… “No digital-kit for that one anymore…”

My internal abrasiveness was muted by the love of money. Money for strange hobbies.

Asperger traits help in driving like a madman and staying accident-free for decades. We have a built-in radar and when others make mistakes we hit the brakes and come to a standstill with centimeter precision.

Yes Gargamel I am pretty much the same.
I can totally relate to what you are saying.
My mind has a chronological memory in that I can tell you where I was and what I was doing going back for the best 40years. I can remember way too much. The biggest thing is dates. If someone mentioned a date I would take a moment and remember what I was doing.

Friends are amazed at what I have retained. Most of it utterly useless s~~~ mind. I should have been a card counter.

Now my place is starting to look like a data center and I spent last night with a beautiful Seagate Constellation ES.3 1TB enterprise hard disk in my bed. Fell asleep on it, preparing the firmware update.

I have terabytes of books and documents. If it was all printed on paper, you could cover a big city with it.

Self discipline is important, but really only necessary if you haven’t quite internalized the concepts into your core being. Once you take the knowledge, and really become one with what you know, then it becomes second nature.

I saw my dads ex wife earlier. We spoke of my Aspergers and my memory.
We talked about my dads memory for things. It runs in our family. He’s gone now. But that is life.

It’s a good thing to have such a mind if one can find something to apply it to. Seems you have done a good job of that.
