Marriage: It Gets Worse

Back before the Manosphere (or MGTOW) showed up as a blip on the Google radar (c.2008), a miserable woman by the name of Ellen Tien published “Happily Married: Dreaming of Divorce”….. as an endless list of diatribes about the inadequacies of the unfortunate groom who busted his butt to make her happy* for the last 16 years. The man who still greets her ungrateful aging ass with a smile in the morning while she prefers to behave like a complete bitch before 10AM.

QUOTE: “I contemplate divorce every day. It tugs on my sleeve each morning when my husband, Will, greets me in his chipper, smug morning-person voice, because after 16 years of waking up together, he still hasn’t quite pieced out that I’m not viable before 10 a.m.”

Not viable. Poor Will. How dare you smile at your wife.
And this piece of poetry came from the last place you would ever expect: OPRAH Magazine.

Apparently, she suffers from a very common “period of high irritation lasting one or two decades” which is 4X longer than your average marriage contract, while behaving like her husband somehow owes her personal happiness.

Put a sock in it, lady, and let’s hear from the grooms for a change.
And don’t forget, when a man says it, it’s called “misogyny”.
