as far as men being bad for “oppressing women” i think this is totally ridiculous.  beyond the reality of physical sexes there are certain actions, traits, and behaviors that are traditionally thought of as either masculine or feminine.  logic vs feeling,  creation vs destruction, light vs darkness etc.  everyone of us has all of these qualities/traits/behaviors instilled in us and each individual tunes into certain traits and creates a particular balance within themselves individually.  although every man and woman is unique generalizations can be made to say that most fit one way and most fit the other.  people forget or are ignorant to the fact that a very large portion of the time that the human race has existed it has been oriented around matriarchal society.  the 12 millennia of “bad men” oppressing women is really just a drop in the bucket. they’re not bad, we’re not bad.  a balance has to be achieved to hold the fabric of society together. 12 millennia of “oppression” is really just the necessary amount of time for men to instill the perceived qualities and traits of masculinity onto human society at large in order to counter act the matriarchal influence of the past upon mankind.
