For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin’s day”.

William Shakespeare | Henry V

Brothers… Never in my life that words from Shakespeare made so much sense as they do now.

We, here, are indeed the few, but I hope that one day we will be the many. So many, that we will rise in the middle of the crowd and that everyone will hear our voice, once and for all.

Every moment I get back here, I learn something that adds a great value to my life, I see more things I was blind to see, and learn the gems I needed so much to learn. Every moment here is like water for a thirsty man.

“We few, we happy few, we band of brothers… For he today that shed his blood with my shall be my brother.”

"Young was I once, I walked alone, and bewildered seemed in the way; then I found me another and rich I thought me, for man is the joy of man." Odin, Hàvamàl, stanza 47.

Comradery defines America, as tears of relief roll down our cheeks. The sky is bluer, the grass is greener and people are smiling on the streets. We fought, we journeyed , we won.

We are legion … we are many

F~~~ING. MASTERPIECE.

Roy, thank you for this movie version. I was sure that the words of Shakespeare written on plain white paper would never have a proper interpreter, but I am really glad that I am indeed wrong!

Thank you, brother!

The thing is, he was trying to convince them to go out and get themselves maimed and killed early in the morning on some godforsaken muddy s~~~hole battlefield, all so HE could be king.

Henry V doesn’t sound like a king so much as he sounds like one of those f~~~ing Kardassian bitches: “I’m famous so you should be honored to be here with me.”

F~~~ that.

For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition:

… but not so close a brother that I’m going to share MY castle or MY crown. And he’ll still have to pay me taxes. And fight in any other silly ass war I hope to benefit from.

And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap

Not MGTOW. Any MGHOW a-bed will be thinking about bacon and eggs or flapjacks for breakfast. And end up deciding to have both. Because why the f~~~ not?

MGHOW: What’s in it for me?
Henry V: You’ll get to say you were here with me. Assuming you live.
MGHOW: No, seriously Hank, WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME?

Good points, Side…

But, the way I view this quote, it was more that I feel that we MGTOW are a band of brothers, who fight side by side, each day in order to conquer not only ourselves, but our environment also.

That we, as brothers who went through the same hell, that we are not only fighting for ourselves, but that we are fighting indeed for the next generation of men, to be more free, to have more respect from a world that only mocks us right now.

And perharps, if we do our duties right and perform as great as each one of us expects to act, then they would probably live without feminsm, and perhaps with women with better morals and standards.

I totally get the Band of Brothers aspect, and that part is good and true, because all men truly are brothers (and if you take a close look at certain families I’m sure you’ll note the similarity). I just think the overall context here stinks, because it’s taking a noble concept and manipulating it for personal gain.

You are right, my brother… I need to take a look at the context too, in order to get a better reference.

Henry V indeed used those man for his own personal gain.
