Sounds consistent with the pay gap…

Because in order to be able to think, you have to risk being offensive.

How do you rate whether her performance warrants a tip?

Also, aren’t you setting a bad trend by tipping?  She may come to expect it regardless.

Also, given how much an escort can make, would being a waitress still be the number one job a woman without a college degree could work, and still make a living wage?

I guess we tip women after marriages – alimony.

I’ve done a brief stint as a busboy and another as a waiter, and I can testify my former colleagues survived on tips.

Should you tip a escort after? How do you rate whether her performance warrants a tip?

I’ll tip an escort up to 25% if I feel she showed real enthusiasm or professionalism. I’ll do the same for waitresses but it’s been my experience that it’s a lot easier to be professional and enthusiastic about a job that pays from $80 to $300 an hour than one that pays below minimum wage.

If you negotiate a price that is the price. They will take not a penny less. So I will not give them a penny more.

Waitresses and waiters survive on tips, not hookers, they use they’re wiles to extract as much money as they can for you.

And you definitely do cause inflation. If a girl asks for 200 and sucks (no pun intended) them you boycott her. You don’t pay her more than an attorney for sucking your dick. She will come to expect it. If you don’t tip they may grumble but that’s about it. They’re not your girlfriend and they will see you again for the agreed upon price tipping or no. If you want to throw away your money and make it more expensive so you can’t afford it next time, go for it.

It’s just business.

Wait staff expect tips and will treat a customer rudely (or worse) if they feel a tip is not forthcoming or if a customer has been previously identified as a “bad” tipper.

If a bar or restaurant owner cared about their servers’ survival, they would raise their prices 18% and pay their servers a wage they can survive on. Sticking me with that responsibility and then pretending it’s optional for me is just s~~~ty.

Tipping is useful and meaningful *only* when it is completely voluntary, such as when tipping an escort. If I have agreed upon a certain price for a certain service and then feel I have received value in excess of that agreement, I can give extra value in return to foster a positive working relationship. This should not only encourage the service provider to deliver equal or better value in the future but also act as an upward pressure on their pricing.

By paying what I believe is a fair price for the value I have received, I am not making it more expensive for ME in the future, I’m making it more expensive for YOU. You can stick with the “bare minimum price” providers if you like, I want my providers to raise their level of service and their fees, accordingly which is good for them and for me and for the marketplace in general.

Oh, and I have asked for and received better prices from escorts… so yes, they will accept less than their asking price if you know how to negotiate respectfully and effectively. It’s all about the fair exchange of value… bottom feeders create a race to the bottom but people willing to pay for what they’re getting elevate the markets in which they trade.
